Leaving England
...and heading the Germany! Well....made it to Germany!
Even flying over the countryside from the U.K you can see how green
and how many forrests there are! The trip over was standard...1 hour 40 minutes
on Ryanair with no problems....and German customs are a lot friendlier than their English
counterparts..
Angie and Phil picked me up from Berlin Airport for the 200km drive to Dresden down the autobahn
and there unit just out of town....very nice old building that is being renovated.
Went for a look at the Panometer which is a giant Diorama in a domed building that gives
you a 360 degree view of the city as it was in 1756....awesome!
Met some more friends of Angies and Phils at a bar called Saloppe Bar which is like
a place in the middle of a forrest....very nice!
They have taken me all over Saxony, including Angies suprise 30th birthday trip on wednesday
for a horse drawn carriage trip through Moretzburg Forrest and a picnic lunch...
Walked through Dresden City yesterday where we went up Frauen Kirche Church for a 360 degree view of the city (this place is uphill and stairs!) and then drove out to the Wildlife
Sky over Germany
...got a bit crowded in the airport holding pattern Park where we climbed
all over the cliffs and old fort that was built in the 1300's.....
Just getting things organised for Angies birthday celebrations on this saturday night now!
...and what a great night....these Dresden folk know how to throw a party....
I dont know how many crates of beer ( at half a litre each bottle) that was gone through
as well as the spirits and food....oh well, just look at the pics!
