well here we are finally arrived in Germany, good flight from Perth very sad to say goodbye to my babies missing them already. After arriving in Munich we caught the train from the airport to Markt Schwaben, after getting off the train at the station I wanted to get a taxi to the Hotel as I believed it was only about 10 minutes away, but no my hubby Paul (also known as Mr Grisswold) decided that we would ask the people working in the shops at the train station which direction to take and we would walk. He sent me in the girl spoke english but had no idea where the street was, sent into another shop after waiting 10 minutes to get served the old woman did not speak very good english and had no idea. Paul decided we would head off in one of the directions he thought we should go, imagine this if you can, there we are, just arrived after 2 flights nearly 23 hours dragging, 2 suitcases, 2 overnight bags, and a computer, what a sight we were. There was a taxi so told him to ask him how much, but not to be he decided to ask the bus driver, who told us no problem jump on board I am going that way. There I was trying drag the suitcases onto the bus but fortunately, there was a nice young boy who helped me. Off we go, everyone looking at us, around 2 corners down the street and there we are, bus driver says get off here, this is the Markt Platz. Off we get I am sitting in the sun and I send Paul around the corners looking for the Hotel. Finally he returns after awhile and says just around corner. Off we set, suitcases bumping along the cobblestones. When we get to the Hotel we were unable to find front door, so I found a door open and we went in through the backdoor, down 10 stairs and there was the front door and reception. Honestly, always seem to take the longway. Up to the room, very nice room, big, good sized bed, so tired we jumped straight
in and off to sleep. 3 hours later we decided to go for a walk around the town, very small but cute lots of nice flowers in the windows. Went to the supermarket as somebody wanted to check the prices against the prices at home, for those who know Paul. We bought some fruit and then went for another walk, nice fresh air, still very tired and just wanted to eat and then go to bed. We decided to eat at the Hotel that night, have a coffee and off to bed. Nice long sleep, next morning off the breakfast at Hotel, it was a buffet, very good so that you can help yourself to what you want. We asked the man at reception where the area was that we had to pick up the campervan, he told us and even offered to ring to see if it was ready, even though, we were booked to pick up at 3.00 pm, no answer, he said it was a long walk better take a taxi or bus. Surprise, surprise, Paul decided that we were going for a walk to see whereabouts it might be, walk, walk, walk, and guess what eventually we took us to the campervan. Was early but Paul being Paul he decided that he was going to ask them if it was ready and we were in luck, it was, so after about 1 hour, we were off in the campervan to go to supermarket and pick up supplies and then back to HOtel to collect bags. bought everything we needed at shops and then had lunch and off to Austria.
