Today's trip was to the east of where we are staying. About a 1.5 hour drive. Lots of traffic. The motorway is jammed with trucks as Europe
does not make as much use of its railways to transport freight. We wanted to take the electric boat to a small church on the Konigssee (which
is actually a fjord-like lake 2000' above sea level 650' deep. Said to be the cleanest lake in Germany. We only went to the chapel of St. Bartholomew's
which you will see in the pictures. The mountain you see in the photo is Mt Watzman 8953' Germany 's 2nd highest mountain.
We also spent a short time in the small area in the older part of Berchtesgaden. Just a few pictures there as I realized We had been there before.
Today we are resting up a bit. Maybe a little food shopping. Tomorrow we had south for Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Not a long drive. We will be there
for 4 nights before heading south into Austria.
Bye for now
