This year, we had decided with our family that we wanted a relaxed and fun christmas time without the usual hassle and stress. That is why we all met in a very nice hotel in the northern part of the black forest, in Bad Teinach. We are not really used to staying in such a luxurious place but we have to admit that we quite enjoyed it. We - that was my mum Petra and Manuel, my granny Edith, our dear friend Cashlee, Miguel and the two of us. Unfortunately, it was the first christma in a lot of years without any snow. It was kind of strange celebrating green christmas in the Black Forest. Instead of doing some cross country skiing, we went for some nice walks through the countryside. Bad Teinach itself has not much to offer. There is a nice thermal bath (which we enjoyed daily) and a lot of forest all around. After an easy walk uphill you can reach Zavelstein which has some nice old and restored houses and a fort. One day we drove to Calw a did a nice walk back through the forest to Bad Teinach. We eaven saw a wild pig grazing in the forest and some squirrels. We visited Freudenstadt which is somehow the capital of the Black Forest. It was quite nice there as most of the Black Forest was covered with fog that day but in Freudenstadt we had pleasantly sunshine. We enjoeyd the small christmas market and the busy atmosphere of the central market area. We visited tiny Nagold and enjoyed the nice houses in the old town of Calw. Well, and of course we did enjoy sensational food. For christmas we had a 6 course menu - it was simply amazing. In the evening we always met in the bar of the hotel, had a couple of Weizen (the best beer). We had a lot of fun. Edith, my 91 year old granny and the biggest fan of our travel blogs, even mixed her own cocktail. As we do not see each other very often it was really nice to spent such a fun time together. Back home, we now spend most of our time in the gym. In about 1 week we are off to Malaysia and Thailand - time to get rid of our extra kilos, bikini time is calling. We

hope, you all had a very nice christmas whereever you have spent it. We wish you all the best for the next year 2012!
