Gday All

What a difference. Woke up to a full moon in the middle of the night .... aha Must be a clear sky.

And in the morning - blue sky!! Yes.

More weetbix- mixed with French Meusli now and yummy.

I was reminded of the Alan Sherman song re Camp Granada - for the younger - go here

http://bussongs.com/songs/camp_grenada.php

WE had promised ourselves an easier day. Another 19 kms and we failed again. But, beautiful place this. Too good to pass up with a bit of tiredness / jetlag.

Highlights of our clockwise walk to the Eiffel Tower and back thru the latin quarter were:

the Boyannical garden (see flower shots)
the Parthenon
the church of St Sulpice (sp?) - known apparently for its famous organ - so we are advised by BIL John - which was being played as we inspected. Inside was brilliant and we were most appreciative of the reference,
the Musee De L'Armee (Gold Leaf pic)
The Eiffel Tower
The Champs Elysee (the other end from yesterday)
the Place de Concorde
The Place de Vendome
the Pompidou Centre
The Hotel de Ville and home along the river Seine.

A great day with blue sky and heeps of colour

Not sure what dinner holds tonight but we can report on that separately

Some notes about the day:
At the Eiffel tower, we didnt go up as two of the four lifts were closed and the walk was not for these tired legs and knees. The remaining two legs were extremely crowded and we had important business to get back to!

WE are on to the traffic regulations here which are essentially - every man for himself / herself. Most seem to disregard lights or crossings - so we are in there as well .....

If only we can get France from attacking other countries while we are there and our Airline siding with aggressors, that would be good.....

Now for some notes from Chris.

We didn't walk this many ks per day on the Milford track.
I was in the shopping mode bur Dior was closed. Maybe next time. Chris

We had a full moon over here too!!!! ;) ;) hehe. Looks like you are still having a good time. Photos are great... It would prob be nice if France held off from their Libya attacks for just 1.5 more weeks. But guess you cant do anything. Just enjoy...

Sounds good fun
Hi, Guys, Thank you for including Tony and myself in the Blog - excellent presentation. How you both can do 19 kms per day is beyond my mind to comprehend. Tony & I went to the Alfred Nicholas Gardens, which you recommended Chris - did two kms and felt past it! Keep enjoying France. Look forward to further pics. and stories. Den & Tony.

Beautiful Paris!!
Hi Chris and Ian, I think I see blue sky in those pictures, so you are doing well. Paris is a beautiful city and John and I enjoyed just walking about the streets. I have been fishing in Albury the last week and am only just catching up on the blog today. Seems you are having a great time and yes, navigating about Paris is difficult with all those little streets. Cheers Pete
