Parijs, Normandie en Bretagne 2014

26 -28 Juli 2014

Voor mijn 60e verjaardag gaan we naar Parijs, waar we de Tour de France zien finishen.

Met de Thalys naar parijs en we hebben een hotelletje in de buurt van Gare de l'Est

We gaan naar Roland Garos, het stadion van voetbalclub Paris St Germain zien we ook nog.

Hierna naar La Defence, met erachter een nieuw gedeelte met nieuwbouw.

We lopen naar de Eifel Toren, Het is prachtig weer, Zien de sloten op de brug en 'savonds op Germain des Pres eten we wat.

Op de dag van de TdFr gaan we eerst naar Montmartre, altijd leuk, en daarna naar het Louvre, waar de dameswedstrijd zo langs komt.

We moeten lang wachten totdat de heren op de champs te zien zijn, het is bijna 1800 uur. Het is een bont spektakel. Nibali wint de tour.

Bij de huldiging kom je niet echt, we zien met uitzinnige italianen de prijsuitreiking in de verte.

Maandag nog een dagje Parijs, we gaan naar de Norte dam en lopen naar de Bastille, Hierna naar de begraafplaats waar veel beroemdheden liggen.

In de namiddag gaan we weer terug naar gare du Nord waar we met de Thalys weer naar Rotterdam gaan.





Normandie/ Bretagne - Eind Augustus 2014





Een maand later brengen we een auto naar Spanje en doen Normandie en Bretagne aan.

Het is gelukkig goed weer.

Eerste stop is Rouen, dat is een mooie stad met veel oude vakwerkhuizen en een mooie kathedraal.

D-Day is 70 jaar geleden en dat is gevierd. Veel foto's, bloemen en verhalen zien we langs de

bevrijdingsroute. Ste- Mere -Eglise, Ohama- en Utah Beach bezoeken we en we rijden door vele kleine dorpen.

Ook bezoeken we de leuke plaatjes als Honfleur met de mooie hoge brug " Pont de Normandie " .

Mont-Saint-Michel bezoeken we natuurlijk ook. Hier is het erg druk....

In Bretagne vinden we de plaats Dinan erg mooi.

For my 60th birthday we go to Paris, where we see the Tour de France finish.



Thalys to Paris and we have a hotel near Gare de l'Est



We go to Roland Garos, the stadium of football club Paris St Germain, we also see.



After La Defence, with behind a new area with new construction.



We walk to the Eiffel Tower, The weather is beautiful, Seeing the locks on the bridge and in the evening at Germain des Pres we eat.



On the day of the TdFr we first go to Montmartre, always fun, and then to the Louvre, where the women's race as lanmgs coming.



We have to wait long until the men seen on the champs, it's almost 1800 hours. It is a colorful spectacle. Nibali wins the tour.



During the ceremony you will not really, we see with frenzied Italians the award ceremony in the distance.



Monday another day Paris, we go to the Norte dam and walk to the Bastille, Then to the cemetery where many celebrities are.



In the afternoon we go back to Gare du Nord where we go back to Rotterdam with Thalys.







Normandy / Brittany -

End of August 2014







A month later, we bring a car to Spain and Normandy and Brittany to do.



Luckily it's good weather.



First stop was Rouen, which is a beautiful city with many old half-timbered houses and a beautiful cathedral.



D-Day was 70 years ago and that is celebrated. Lots of pictures, flowers and stories we see along the



liberation route. Ste Mere -Eglise, Ohama- and Utah Beach we visit and drive through many small villages.



We also visit the nice villages like Honfleur with the beautiful high bridge "Pont de Normandie".



Mont-Saint-Michel we visit also. Here it is very busy ....



In Brittany we find the place very beautiful Dinan.
