France September 23-25, 2018

We have been in Paris for two days and then ride on the TVG to Bordeaux. Paris was cold and drizzly. We had a fabulous dinner there at Pur in the Park Hyatt. The transfer to the train was only as the French can do it. It was like the keystone cops. We had to walk quite s distance to get into the train station because everything was under construction. When we finally got to the main concourse our guide found that our train was not listed on the schedule. She ran frantically back out into the street telling us to wait there. When she returned about 30 minutes later, she said there was no problem that actually our train was leaving in 10 minutes.she handed us slips of paper with 3 numbers written on them. The circled number was our car number and the other two numbers were our seats. The train came into the station and stopped. Everyone was looking frantically for the car number which was listed in a little box on the outside of the car. Our car was all the way up the track so we had to walk back to the entrance. We were walking against the flow of people coming into the station. I heard a commotion behind me and saw a cubs hat going down to the floor. Ron had tripped over someone dragging a carry on and fallen. People were helping him up by the time I got to him. I took his back pack from him and ascertained that he had not broken anything. We then made our way to the car and took our seats. The ride took 3 hours. We arrived at Bordeaux and had to walk about 2 blocks to the bus. The bus took about 15 minutes to reach the boat. Our rooms were ready. We had a light lunch and then I took a nap.n
