Another slow start, we caught the train into Strasbourg where we went to see the Astrological clock in the Cathedrale de Notre-Dame which strikes noon everyday at 12:30. This turned out to be a bit of a disappointment but you are never sure until you have done something. After lunch we had a stroll round the beautiful city of Strasbourg.
Have decided to get new tyres for the Beast and therefore said our farewells to Mr Alphonse (and also purchased some very fine Pinot Noir from his celler) and after a few false starts Brian managed to find a company that could supply the new tyres for us tomorrow. Back to Molsheim for a couple more nights, this time to the municipal campsite to get some power to charge all our electrical devices and top up with water.

Plonker
What kind of plonkers would start out on a 20 zillion km trip with bald tyres?
