The sides of the river

again we set out to enjoy the beauty of Praha. we took a tram to the top of the hill to see the Peter's Tower. this tower looks like a miniature Eifle Tower. actually, it is the same height as the eifle tower if you include the hill it sits on. we walked to the top of the tower, up the stairs. 500 steps. by the time we reached the top, i was on my hands and knees crawling up, since i was ready to fall asleep anyways. after our climb (which led to some beautiful pictures) we went to lunch at a cute czech pub. after a czech espresso, i was awake enough to make it back to the Prague Castle. went to several exebitions and museums, which left me feeling numb and even more tired. we took a walk thru the park which was beautiful. unfortunately, most of the public transport on the hill was in repair, meaning we had to walk to the subway station (if it were up to my dad, we would have walked all the way back anyways). we walked around the city for a while and had dinner at a mexican resturant. it was funny to see all the rather authentic mexican decorations in a very typical old european building. the food was very tastey (and some was surprisingly spicy) though if it were in america, i am sure the mexicans would object. but considering we were in the heart of prague, i was quite impressed! i ordered a capuccino, which my dad thought was a mistake, since when it came, there was so much foam that i couldnt get to the coffee without scooping the foam to my saucer. when i finnished my coffee, i scooped it back in the cup, and the cup looked over half full of foam! our day ended a little earlier than we expected, so we had a chance to go to a convenient store to pick up some water and all hang out in the hotel watching czech tv for a little while before eugen decided to go home. overal, it was a rather quiet day, leaving time for me to do laundry.
