Had a very relaxing start, egg on toast for breakfast. So nice to cook our own for a change! Went into Dubrovnik by 12: 30 ferry from the local jetty, entertained by a couple of Poms from Newcastle on the way. 40 min boat ride via Lokrum Island to drop off passengers, nice way to travel! Dubrovnik an amazing place, walked around the old town a bit and had a delicious slice of pizza from the hole in the wall place, then walked around the whole city wall, very hot sunny and tiring at the end, but great views all over the old town. Went into a couple of monasteries and churches, then walked up to the fort outside the wall for a great view over old Dubrovnik. Had dinner at a pizzeria, excellent and cheap, as food generally expensive compared to other parts of Croatia and Turkey/Greece. Quite a touristy place but so beautiful. Understandable really. Got the bus back to Cavtat at 8:45 pm. Great day out.

Warm and sunny
Nice relaxing start, cooked up another egg on toast breakfast, then rang Steph on Skype. Walked round headland and up to mausoleum then called
into supermarket to get bread, salami and cheese for lunch. After lunch we went for a walk around Cavtat, had a lovely swim off the rocks on the headland, then a walk round to other headland, sneaked through Hotel Cavtat as a short cut back, then walked to Albratross beach for another swim. Lovely day, hot again. Had a delicious home cooked chicken fillet with salad, then walked to mausoleum on our headland for a sunset view.

Warm, sunny
Packed up, Ebor took our stuff down to the bus on his motor bike and trolley, caught the 10:30 bus to Dubrovnik. Dropped luggage at bus station then I went up the cable car to the viewpoint over the city while Blu finished his Barry Humphries book. Lovely day again, great views from top. Wandered back into the old town and ate our cheese and salami sandwiches and had a last look around, back to bus station for the 3pm bus to Korcula. Bus trip scenic, bus took the ferry across to Korcula town from Orebic, got to Korcula about 7, walked around to the small village of Medvinjak where our accommodation "Apartments Sarah" was booked, couldn't find
it, no sign on house, then when we did, no one was home. Found key in door and let ourselves in. (cost for 3 nights = 105 Euro) Walked round the bay to find dinner but no restaurant in sight. So got a taxi by luck, which took us to old town. Had a delicious shrimp risotto at Marco Polo Konoba.

Warm and sunny - in Korcula, relaxing day.
Walked down to the Old Town and did a wander around the centre, climbed up the bell tower of the cathedral etc, very nice small walled city, set on a narrow peninsula. Had grilled seabass and vege for late lunch at restaurant in old town. Back home, down to our local beach for a swim - Medvinjak.
Cooked omelette for dinner at apartment

Hot and sunny
At Korcula, got up early to be ready for the speedboat trip to Mljet island at 8 am, walked around in the national park by the lakes, then hired bikes for 2 hours to ride along the big lake to the entrance, very scenic, water amazing, went for a swim in the crystal clear water. Walked around the small
blue lake and had a swim in this lake which was quite different to the sea, quite salty so you felt very buoyant. Walked back to catch the ferry to Korcula at 2.30pm, great day out . Had a very late lunch at Marco Polo back in Korcula Old Town, shrimp risotto and kebab.
Swimming at Medvinjak on way home, snack tea later back at base, chatted to Goldie our landlord, and the 2 Tasmanians staying at the apartments.
