The usual group travel shot!Although we were promised another miserable weather day by our driver to our apartment, today ended up being a great weather day from the start. It began with Abbey and I making the 484 stair trek up to the Adriatic highway to find the entry point to the path up Mt. Srd. From there we made it back to the Old Town and checked out Gundelič Square and made our way up to Buža 2. We were actually looking for a basketball court we have seen from the walls on past trips, but we were not successful. Our journey ended up being our morning workout today regardless.
Upon returning to our apartment, it was off to the Dubravka for breakfast. The area around the Pile Gate was quite busy shortly after 10 am. Following breakfast, we headed across the Stradun to Banje Beach. After renting a series if cabanas and chairs, we were set for a day at the beach. The waves, probably still from the storms the night before made it pretty challenging for dad to get his "dip" in. As you know him, it was not going to stop him though. After nearly being dragged out

On the way up towards Srd. to sea and then getting beaten on as he sat in shallow water, he had had enough. He got quite the ab workout though!
After the beach, we headed back to the apartment and showered up. For supper, we went to the Taj Mahal. It is the one place in Dubrovnik that was home to traditional Bosnian food. The ćevapi were great! It was one of the better meals I have had outside of Mira's on all of my trips.
After some people watching and some refreshments along the Stradun, it was time to head back to our beds. The girls managed to get some shopping in as well.
Finishing this entry up as our climb up Srd is a mere 7 hours away!
