There is one
thing we really enjoyed while in dubrovnik, it was enjoying the sunset and our nights out. We have found a couple of nice bars and one restaurant worth mentionning.
If you are looking for a nice view point to enjoy the sunset, then I would propose one of those two locations: Bard bar ou
Buza bar. The two are fairly crowded at that time of the day, so come early or be lucky to find a nice seat. And yet they are not so easily spotted. You have to go through a tiny gate from inside the city walls to find yourself at the foot of it. Just grand! The atmosphere in both is great but Bard is a bit more fancy, serving nice cocktails while Buza is a bit more rough serving yours drinks in plastic glass (and no cocktails).
Just outside the city walls, through the Ploce gate, you can find a great japanese restaurant:
Takenoko. We ended here a bit chance and we did not regret it. It was really good food, nice waiters and the view... magnificent! over the walls and the fort Revelin.
A bit further from the centre
of town, there is two neighbourhood Lapad and Babin Kuk which are worth checking out. The pedestrian street leading to the bay is lined with restaurant for all tastes. And if you keep walking along the noth shore for a bit under ten minutes you will find the Cave bar. From the terrace, you have a view over tha bay and is it gets a bit chilly at night you can retreat inside the cave. The bar was arrange inside a real cave and you can even see the sea under foot. Good atmosphere and nice cocktails!
