On the train to Antwerp 3pm June 21 2014



Are there omens when you start your trip? We may of had one when Eurostar placed us opposite 'Earl' Roger Okin on the train. Earl is a Jazz performer and songwriter and was on his way to doing a couple of gigs in Belgium. We had never heard of Earl either and we had an amusing 2 hours hearing about his world. Where else we we have met a jobbing performer - his self portrait. He certainly may sure you noticed him: silver creveat and matching hanky in a dark suit with waist and chain. Not many people wear spats on Eurostar these days.



So we chatted away and got a recommendation for a variety club in Berlin.
