From Germany by car to Austria, it takes from Stuttgart Germany 6hrs.drive. Vienna, is a city with a mixture of Imperialism, Art Deco & Barock Architectures , and not to forget the celebration of Who's Who in the Worlds High Society Waltz gathering every year. We stayed in a hotel named Prater, in Vienna and it cost 60 €, it's a big Room, very Comfortable and in the Citynear Vienna's Prater. Old structures and high seiling. At first we've got to explore the Wiener Prater, it is like a Fun Park and this is very famous in Europe, the Prater is located in the City Center, lots of Rides to enjoy, Games and Horror houses to be frightend. It has also a very big Ferris Wheel or the Eye Of Vienna, to enjoy the view of Vienna. Beeing in Wien or Vienna, you must try the Famous " Schweinshaxe" or the crispy Pigs Legs, very oily not for Figure concious, be aware of the sizes co'z it will cost you in € per gramm and it can be very expensive like what shocks me, it comes with a basket of bread that you also pay for the bread you consume afterwards.
While driving in the City you will recognize something on the side of the Street with it's Barock Style Arch on both sides as an entrance, it is like a big Canal with Big Blue Vases on its wall on both sides of the Canal as a decorations and they call it *The Marriage Fountain or Canals*, A very impressive Architectures of Imperial Vienna, The giant Vases are really Avant Gard . In the heart of Vienna you will find the St. Stephans Dom, a very old Gothic Church, and Vienna's most famous sights, and it was built 1147 AD. The Cathedral has two impressive features, the gigantic roof and the tall lean tower, (136, 7 meters of height).Inside you will find Art Treasures and the Tomb of Prince Eugene of Savoy (1754), and last but not the least , feel like a Princess and ride those Beautiful Horses carriages in front of the Dom and be lucky to choose the famous Carriage with a print of Wanne in Pink. Karlskirche or Karls Church a huge gigantic Dom Church, was built 1715 and in Baroque style, This is the biggest Cathedral of the Baroque arts in the Alps Region. Initially the Church was built to honor the vows of Emperor Karl VI, and then in the time of the epidemie it was dedicated to Saint Karl Borromeo. Two Columns in front at the wide stairway, with an allergoric representation of the life of St.Borromeo, a mix of Italian Rennaisance and Trajan Column. The oval nave of the Church is top by an eye catching dome (72m high). The Church is located at Vienna's center " Karlsplaza ", the area in front of the Church the Oval water basin and it's Monumentous curving in the middle of the basin,was redesign in 1970, by one of the most important sculptors of the 20th Century, Henry Moore. Dont forget to admire the beautiful tube station design of Otto Wagner on the upper front of the basin. Schönbrunn Palace, a very romantic Palace and a very beautiful Garden Landscaping and giving me the feeling of Queen Sisi's Peace and Royalty. This is the most significant Austrian Cultural Monument, this was once the Summer Residence of the Emperor Franz Joseph ( ruled 1848 - 1916 ), who was born here in 1830. The beautiful walls and columns at the upper part or a hilltop really looks Amazing, the Human Statues on a Fountain water basin is breathtaking. Due to this Historical importance, it's beautiful location and it's fabulous Gardens, this place is one of the very top sights in Vienna. Furthermore the entire complex was taken up in the UNESCOS' s World Cultural Heritage list. Natural Historical Museum of Vienna, is also located at the Center, very Imperialistc Structures and also well trimmed green gardens, it is two Buildings facing each other and as i can remember they are both Museums , Natural History and the Art Historical Museum. Maria Theresa Staue Symbolizes the importance of Vienna's History. I visited the Museum and i was really impress on the floor of the main floor , the gigantic Human Sculpture on this huge marmor stairways, as i have read , later 1890, the Statue was removed from Peoples Garden Temple of Theseus, and place it in this beautiful staircase.Not too mention the Dominance of the big Columns on the sides. I was so very lucky to see and to observed the Culture and the wonders of Egiptology , the Grab offers and the Mummies. In this Museum with the Ancient Stones Art of the Roman Empire. Now, let's tour the Imperial Palace, from a distance coming from the historical Museum, you will notice a grand massive gates of the Hofburg Palace, was built exclusively by soldiers in Roman times, it was innagurated in 1824, on the anniversary of the Battle of Leipzig, at which Napoleon was at last defeated and converted into a memorial to Heroes in 1933. The Heroes Square in the Hofburg was originally the parade ground. Visiting the Silver Chamber or the Tableware at the Museum in Hofburg,was overwhelming for me, Elegantly Imperialistic and a dashing lavishing it could be seeing them beautifully arrange on a Royal Dinner Parties. Among the Treasures of the Chamber was the 18th Century Asian Porcellane, take a goodlook of the "Milanese table center nearly 10m or 30ft long, made of meticulously curved and gilded bronze. The Volksgarten or Peoples Garden, lies between the Hofburg and the Burg theater, this is the 2nd largest Park in City center and was opened 1820, and now a favorite getaway of Viennese People on a Sundays. In the center of the garden stand the Temple Theseus built 1823, So now it's about time to tackle about one of my most favorite must see in Vienna, the famous Art Hundert Wasser Appartment house, built in the year of 1983 and 1985, after the idea and concept of Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser, with the help of Architect Joseph Krawina, this expressionist Landmark of Vienna is located at, Landstrasse district, on the corner of Kegelgasse and Löwengasse. The Hundertwasser house is now one of the most visited buildings and now become part of Austria's, cultural heritage.
