In a pretty ridiculous coincidence, the one day we happened to go through Vienna just happened to be Mozarts 250th birthday. Which made the previous night quite unique. So today was our free day in Vienna, and it started off with the usual tour around the historical sites from our guide Helen. Once that was done we wandered down the main streets of Vienna, picking up various gifts - some mozart related - including a free mozart balloon. we then headed back to the giant palace thing where last nights dinner was held, and as there was an outdoors ice skating rink outside the front, we spent a while skating around. after that we met up with the rest of the group, and most of us went with the tour guide to a shnaps museum, where we got to try a few samples {strawberry, hazelnut, and various other mixes}. Then it was back to the hotel for me, another good swim, cocktails at happy hour, a bit of table tennis before more cards in the mansion and bed.
