We enjoyed our final days in Bequia listening to live music at some of the local restaurants and did our last provisioning for the trip north. Not sure if you can see it but there is a dinghy near the stern of this boat that was coming out of the channel at Rodney Bay. This could actually be considered one of the “smaller” yachts you see here.

There was very little overhead for this business. Anyone need their shoes repaired?

We walked near the government offices in Castries and noticed that many of the offices were outside. This happened to be a Justice of the Peace conducting his business.

We didn’t get close enough to check it out but it seemed strange to have a traveling cart selling glasses of beer. Never saw this before!

We were very impressed with the interior of this Cathedral that we saw in Castries. It had been built in 1899 and is the largest in the Caribbean. The detailed drawings on the ceiling were amazing.

This truck led the parade of people marching in celebration of Carnavel in St. Anne, Martinique on Fat Tuesday.

The street was filled with people dressed in red marching throughout the town for the carnavel celebration.

The church in St. Anne’s was much simpler than the one in St. Lucia but the roof construction was very impressive.

It was great to have a chance to get together with our friends Lynn & Steve from Celebration and Denise and Jean-Pierre from Absaroque while in St. Anne, Martinique.
