Panama - Headed over the border by bus into panama. Made straight for some islands called Bocas del Torro. The journey there by boat was incredible. Speeding through this river surrounded by jungle. Small cabins on stilts on the river bank and families paddling by in dugout canoes. Eventually you leave the river, hit the open sea and then the beautiful Bocas show themselves in the distance. The port is beautiful, all wooden wharfs with restaurants and cafes over the water. Very mellow carribbean vibe there and all the locals speak english with a jamaican accent. Yeah mon! Did a lovely day trip by boat round the islands. Went to a place that should have had a golden paradise beach but some freak weather had caused sees so high and wild that the beach had almost dissappeared. Some peope lost their homes and cafes in that one. Pretty amazing to see it though. On the island we saw a tiny red frog with black spots that was about the size of a fingernail! From Panama back to
Costa Rica´s charmless and dangerous capital city and from there back to Lima as a stepping stone to Bolivia.
