Returning to Port Au Prince
After leaving the boat in Montrouis, we took route via automobile for Port au Prince, where we are at the moment at the Letendre’s home. We have a few holiday gatherings that we will be attending, and should be back onboard by later this week.
Montrouis is approximately a one hour drive,, if there is no traffic in Port au Prince! Which is almost all the time in the Port au Prince, traffic that is! The route is from paved with tons of potholes to dirt road,, and you have to keep a close eye on the oncoming traffic, locals walk along the road, and trucks and cars with no lights on (or working).
It’s very hard to be away from home and the ones we love during the holidays, but we want everyone to know that you are in our hearts and our thoughts.

Christmas is always difficult to be apart, but with Internet and telephone, we can keep in touch. Remember it is only 24 hours.

c est toujours avec enthousiasme que j ouvre ton blog. Seulement quelques jours sans vos nouvelles et me voilą inquiet..Haiti, c est Haiti.
Merci de nous faire decouvrir ce coin cache de la planete. Vos photos sont magnifiques.. Je suis en floride, actuellement, avec ma famille pour le temps des fetes, et j avoue, le confort est different d avec la vie de haiti.

I'm planning a business trip in Haiti (Port au Prince) January 18th, your pictures & comments are really appreciated.
For our vacation we will be sailing in the Exumas from January 6-13 on Alea.
We are experiencing our first snow storm today 10-15 cm forcasted.... :( .... this was not mandatory ....
