Great Blog
Hi there!! I'm planning to go to Guatemala to study spanish for a month. Your blog and pics help a lot. Do you have any recommendation as to where to stay? I rather stay in a nice decent hostel. Thanks!! Sandy

hostels in Antigua
Hi Sandy, For the first week of our spanish course we stayed with a host family, the accomodation and food were basic however from talking to other students it seemed we had just got a bad deal. some of the students had great host families.to find accomodation for the second week , we spent 2 days visiting most if not all the hostels in Antigua. In the end stayed in a fantastic hostel called hostel 5. Its on 4th avenida north. the outside of the building is green. It a little more expensive than other hostels but we felt it was worth it. It was clean, friendly and so comfortable. Its only open 2 months. We stayed there for 7 nights and they gave us a deal of 1 night for free. hope you enjoy your trip
