VIÑALES This rural part of Cuba was a true pleasure for the eyes! The small village was surrounded by limestone " mountains" and lush agricultural fields. Palm trees and fruit trees were filled with delicious pineapples, mangoes, oranges, grapefruits.... The coffee cultivated by the farmers had a delicious taste and wonderful smell! It was refreshing to be surrounded by billboards other than those of MacDonalds and Nike! Instead, the public space was filled with government propaganda and messages for and from the Cubans...

Back in the 1950s! The cars on the picture are actually in very good conditions! Like we said, if there was pollution control on the cars, the streets would be emptied and reserved to the bicycles!

One of the many Anti-American propaganda located close to the "US Special Interests Office". If you look closely, the figures of Hitler, Bush, Rice and are displayed under the slogan of "injustice will be punished".

Since the US cannot have an embassy in Cuba, they have built this "Special Interests Office" in La Havana. They also had the balls to have a electronic billboard displaying messages such as "democracy is coming...cubans will soon be free" etc. In response, the Cubans erected more than 300 black flags with white stars and built an enormous plaza with propaganda slogans. Cuba is definitely an unique place!
