It's hard to know exactly where you are unless you see one of these small signs.
Today we went to a nearby Tilapia farm to fish, ride horses and relax in beautiful surroundings. What a treat to have the entire place to ourselves. We arrived around 10am and left just after 5pm. We chose to go on Saturday as we know Sunday is typically a day local families go to such places together. With me still unsteady on my feet we figured it was better to go on a day likely to have less people. We never expected to be the only guests.

While Bill & Callista made the rounds on the property checking out the animals and trying their hands at fishing for tilapia I relaxed in the shade with a book as the hummingbirds and blue morpho butterflies passed by me. They even tried out the kayaks. Well, Bill attempted to but flipped the kayak as soon as he sat down. I could hear Callista howling with laughter as she yelled to me that daddy fell in the lake. Bill came up to see me completely soaked. Only his cowboy hat remained dry! He took it well. After we ate lunch he found a sunny spot to take a nap and let the

sun dry out his clothes before going horseback riding.

The property owners son, Jose Luis and his family work at the tilapia farm on the weekends. I got to practice my Spanish with his wife and children while Bill and Callista played. Yes, I love to talk and haven't had much opportunity to practice. Three neighborhood girls came down to visit as well. I think someone told them a girl their age was n the premises. After the initial shyness wore off Callista found herself with six new friends. The girls shared their bikes with her and showed her where they lived as well as their school. Callista had a great time.

We're all looking forward to going back, always on Saturdays hoping to continue having the place to ourselves so the owners will have time to sit and visit with us again.
