this is the entrance to my costa rican home
well im here.i got here about 1230 in the afternoon yesterday after being at the airport by 330 that morning for a 530 flight 😞 to be honest yesterday was rough.first of all i got into the san jose airport and was bombarded by spanish and people offering taxi rides and not leaving me alone but i survived.i didnt really like it idk if it was that i was up for 36 hours and i was irritable or what.my host mom, kathy, picked me up with her 3 kids esteban-12, mariana-8, and santi-6.their house is beautiful and not at all what i expected.i have my own room and i can see a volcano from the kitchen window.its very modern and i played wii tennis with santi last night and watched cheaper by the dozen 2 in spanish which was funny to see it dubbed over.im living with two other students jessica and sarah who are really nice.my mom gave us yesterday and today to speak english so we arent too overwhelmed all at once but tomorrow its the forbidden language.we took a tour around the city today and on a coffee plant tour.from our house it takes like 10 minutes to

walk to the university and 20 to get downtown.the coffee here is so good.jess and sarah usually put a ton of sugar and milk in their coffee but can now drink it black here its that good!the only thing crazy is that cars really dont stop for people here which is a bit scary cause i got honked at and had to like dive out of the way as they guy yelled out the window just cause he felt like taking a corner almost on the sidewalk.fair?i dont think so but whatever.classes start tuesday and ill figure out my schedule tomorrow!so today was much better than yesterday.yesterday i just wanted to come home.we had real costa rican food today:rice and beans and they realy like pickled vegetables for some reason??thanks for reading ill keep you all updated 😊
