The Birthday Girl, Her Husband, Rich, Stoker, and Captain

Class was in the morning today. Walked in the rain to get there.

Today is also our Host's birthday. We were invited and included in the celebration.

We saw her father: Don Franklin. It was really great to see him again. He is still active and is 85. He played chess with me during our last visit to CR. This time he won't be able to push pawns with me, as he is scheduled to leave for Managua in a few days. Anyway, while everyone was in the living room, he was in the kitchen with yours truly and another student giving a spanish lesson.

The cake was excellent, we ate ourselves into a food coma. Pura Vida!
