So we all got our negative PCR test results the night before and now comes the part where we needed to print out our certificates for boarding the Clipper. You would think that would be easy but as I always had a saying with my dad “nothings simple” so after toing and froing we all manage to get a hard copy of our certificates - so we all think now we have the paperwork in order to board tomorrow.
So we have another day swimming on the sandy beach and whilst in the water Sue (L) and Eric notice next to a reef that there is a massive turtle - so Sue (L) runs back up the beach and we all go down to see if we can catch a glimpse of it. It does take a while for your eyes to adjust as the turtle looks like the reef, a big stone. I have never been that close to a real turtle swimming before - sorry could not get a photo and if being honest it would have looked like a big stone.
So back to reading my book Lost by James Patterson which is a crime fiction
Fish Tacos with Jalapeños
Could be a ring of fire later! then lo and behold there are two policemen walking on the beach - so typical Paula my brain goes into overdrive and the first thing I can think of is are we in a “Death in Paradise” plot. So I keep my beady eyes on these two chaps to see if they find a body and start to interview us all to find out if we knew who killed “kitty” on the beach with a bucket and spade - I think I should contact the producers of Death in Paradise as I could be the next script writer for them!!
Anyway after a long day just chilling we decide we are going to go out for a bite to eat and decide to go back to Baby Dolls which is only a 10 minute walk away from where we are staying along the board walk - when I say board walk I always start singing “on the board walk we‘ll be having some fun on the board walk board walk” anyway I am digressing again. Yesterday when we went to Baby Dolls we were there early enough for happy hour but unfortunately missed that today. So I order fish
tacos and a side order of Jalapeno’s. I am not one normally to take photos of my food as I always think it is really embarrassing when I see people taking a photo of their food especially normal food like burgers - we have all seen burgers before you know! Anyway I have just done what I hate and taken photos of food - but my god those fish tacos were amazing but the Jalapeno‘s might not be fun in the morning, there may be a ring of fire - you know what I mean.
We are all so excited for the morning when we finally get up ensure we are packed go for a brunch at a great place we have been told about called Sage and then make our way to the Port to board the Royal Clipper! Next instalment on board - can get patchy reception at sea so please be patient.
