Now then, So, have spent the past month just living in Santa Teresa, a very chilled surf village on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Upon arriving we decided to rent a house, and found an amazing pad set in jungle gardens and just a few minutes walk from the beach. The fact that the landlady was a very attractive young American blonde chica (who seemed fond of the old herbal cigarettes) didn't have anything to do with our decision... We bought boards (off a fella who seemed fond of the old herbal cigarettes) and have spent the past month pretty [View Full Entry]

The Beach...
Surfing
Sunset Session

Now then. I have been slack. Really slack. Sorry its been so long, but I´ve not really been around computers much lately. I will try to keep this brief... So, swapped sunny South America for sunny Central America nearly a month ago.Met up with my old buddy Mattlee in Panama City, and headed for the surf for a few days in the gloriously underdeveloped village of Sta Catalina. Quiet waves, glorious sunshine, cold beer. Perfect. After a nightmare journey up to Costa Rica (thanks to Easter Sunday when every Tom, Dick and Pedro in C. America goes on holiday), and then [View Full Entry]

Now then, So, in Columbia at the moment, which is just incredible. Currently on the Caribbean coast, in a place called Taganga, and an average day consists of enjoying the beach, perhaps a bit of snorkelling on the coral reef just offshore. The sunsets here are quite simply amazing, especially when accompanied by an ice cold beer, and then the evening consists of drinking rum, and then dancing to some live bands (usually doing Buena Vista Social Club covers, and with some awesome live brass!). Anyways, rewinding a little bit. Sorry its been a while since I wrote. Left La Paz [View Full Entry]

Now then. So, spent the past couple of weeks in Bolivia, and it is MENTAL! I can safely say that I don{t think I{ve been to a more chaotic country before. While Brazil and Argentina were amazing, the adventure has really started here in Bolivia, and I{ve got myself into a few scrapes and near misses! I{ve been enjoying many of the local delicacies including llama and coca (as tea or chewing the leaves!) First stop in Bolivia was Uyuni (via a quick stop off in the town where Butch Cassidy was shot) for a tour of the world{s largest saltflats. [View Full Entry]

now then! so, since I last wrote I´ve not really been travelling much, finding myself "stuck" in Buenos Aires, which I have grown to love. Had a fairly unpleasant incedent upon arriving however, on the way to my hostel. Carrying my big pack I had an attempted robbery in the worst possible way. Basically, the scam goes that somone "accidently" spills something on you (in my case it was urine, nice) and then "helps" to clean you up, during which the idea is that youre so distracted that they rob you. Fortunately I knew of this scam, so didnt give the [View Full Entry]

now then. so, im still alive and so far have managed to avoid malaria, typhoid and that fish that swims up your willy. before i start, have this song playing in the background as you read this, cos was in my head the whole time i was in rio! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKsVhyiISY8&feature=related arrived in brazil nearly 2 weeks ago now and spent the first few days in rio de janeiro. rio is possibly the most fun and exciting city ive ever been to. however, first impressions were a little sketchy, accidently finding myself in the gay section of ipanema beach. that was exciting!
