Well folks this is going to be a quick synopsis as it has taken me half an hour to log on as its dialup!!! Well here i am just almost where i want to be. Bali is the place Kuta not quite but interesting. We arrived late at night. Our plane from KL was late about an hour so everthing got pushed back. We paid extra at the airport and upgraded our cheap air asia ticket sit anywhere where you can as long you shove everyone else out of the way to premier boarding. so we got to go on first and check the seats out we want and sat right in the front row. got off the plane first (first time ever for me) [View Full Entry]

well this hotel/hostel is in the centre of everything and by doing the hop-on hop-off sight seeing bus today i really got a hang on where we were and we should have done it on the first day. i went to the botanical gardens today and walked for about 3 hours no kidding. the most wonderful trees, jungle, lakes and of course the orchid section which was to die for. my eyes were popping out of my head the colours and shapes and i could not help thinking about my talented friends the jacobs/rech family who have to come here if [View Full Entry]

well our last night in jerantut was lovely. terry had a sleep and i went for a walk around the bus station. it was full of muslims buying their dinner for the evening as that is what happens. roasting chickens many different kinds of currys and sweets. no place to eat there its purely take away time and of course no one is eating yet as they only break their fast at 7 p.m i had a couple cups of sweet tea - malay tea that is made in an unusual style with the swirling of strong tea in a long [View Full Entry]

well we caught the jungle train before the mezuin even got going and that is before the chooks crow so you know how early that was and terry who doesnt do early did a wonderful job. the train was freezing at first so we were hauling out our warm gear, socks, jumpers, and an airline blanket that terry has to keep warm. what a great way to see the jungle scenery and rivers. trains are magcial you sit back and it all goes past your window. we only had one bread roll with us which was a bit of a mistake. well i must say the islands turned out to be tops. in way i am sorry to put it on a blogg as all and sundry will now be making their way to the perentians!!! we arrived on time for the ferry - a quick and easy half hour by boat to long beach which is the backpacker stop. we had picked out moonlight bungalows and even though they did not have a front one available we took the second row for the first night and prayed someone would leave the next day. room with aircon and cold shower 70 ringit [View Full Entry]

well here we are in Kota Bharu by the seat of our pants and i will get to that later. we loved melaka and will have to back there as we did not see it all. the hotel was good though a bit out of town but we found the explorer bus that went past the hotel and that was such good value and ran till quite late so that worked out perfectly. the small streets of china town were wonderful and then we went to the museum, clibed the hill to the old church on the top and without my [View Full Entry]

Well here we are again travelling. After a great flight on Singapore Airlines arrived at sparrowfart and of course could not do the nails and stuff and hang out in the Rain forest at the aiport as i was worried about my suitcase. Terry forgot to tell me to not worry and pick it up at the lost luggage when i had finished pampering myself. so i found myself at the Robertson Quay hotel and having to pay for an extra night as i though i could have a shower and a sleep but after tossing around in my bed for [View Full Entry]
