Bon soir
Love Paris. Ooh la la. How does it feel to be back in "civilisation"?

Perhaps just one more
Hi Steve, Great blogs continue, good to see that experience still has it over youthful enthusiasm. Enjoy Paris. Although I do remember Andrew describing Tim as the tour nazi. wishing you both health and happiness John PS say hi to Tim

For a bit of perspective...
I have an ultra marathon runner who ran the 90 km from Santiago to Finisterre in one day. I hope your son is being patient.
29th October 2018

Taking our time
Yes, we’re not ultra anything, Bob. It just happened all of a sudden. He’ll be ok. It’s just one of those things and if it becomes too bad, there’s always an alternative. Thanks

I also stayed at the San Martin Pinario...
and loved it! However, I splurged and stayed in the more expensive section at 45 euros/night. Thanks for the memories. Your days of saying farewells to your Camino family also brought back memories. I remember meeting a Norwegian pilgrim who has spend a couple days looking for his Camino family without success, so we hung around together. The few days of relaxation in Santiago was just what I needed.

Thanks Bob.
This is the best kept secret in Santiago. I’m off to Finisterre and Muxia with my son Tim tomorrow, and then have a twin room on 1/11 for €40. Big breakfast, luxury surroundings, it’s the best. Yes, a few days wind down is needed but unfortunately I have to wind up again. Five days; it should be easy. Oops. May have spoken too soon.

Congratulatipns
Great story and achievement. Best wishes John and Andrea

Thanks for the correction...
I am also taking what might be a permanent break after three pilgrimages (Camino Frances, St. Olavsleden and Via Francigena), with the last one being a total failure as far as walking the distance was concerned. My son, who was accompanying me, decided he didn't want to walk anymore so that was that. I am now moving on to visiting where my wife and my ancestors came from, with the UK first and Poland/Slovakia next. I look forward to reading about your future adventures!
25th October 2018

Good on you Bob
It’s a shame about the last one but the UK / Poland trip will be interesting. Poland’s a great place and you’ll get good value out of your dollars there. It has amazing scenery and welcoming people.
24th October 2018

Congratulations
Well done Steve. Don't know how you did it. I walked 6 kms around Lake Wendouree yesterday and that was far enough! Rest day today!
25th October 2018

Thanks.
I’ve worn a hole in the heel of a thick merino sock and I think the others are only good for the next 5 days walking. It’s tough but the country and people seem to carry the load.
24th October 2018

Congratulations on completing the Camino for the second time!!!
Enjoy you walk with your son to Finesterre and Muxia.
24th October 2018

Thanks Bob.
That was number 3 and I think I’m done for a while. Never say never, hey. It was very rewarding and I’ll savour the experience before anymore plans are made.
23rd October 2018

Congratulations
Well done once again Steve, I’ve throughly enjoyed my early morning read xxx
23rd October 2018

Congratulations Steve on completing your journey Enjoy your time with Tim

Thanks Marcelle.
The last 5 days walk should be good.

Re Travel Blog
Hi Steve, I will miss your blog, you write beautifully x
23rd October 2018

Thanks Chris
I’m glad you like it. It is a diary for me to look back on. There’s a Whatsapp group for a Camino pic today in the Plaza so I’m hoping to make that. Then there’s another two weeks. Catch up soon.

The people I met along the Way...
were what made the Camino most meaningful to me. My prayer was to be a blessing to and be blessed by other pilgrims. This prayer was certainly answered.

website
really thank you. I've been looking at this post very well in google and your story is the best. I'll name your site for recognition in class. I always do this for valuable sites so that others will enjoy your information. I'm happy to visit my site and tell me what disadvantages I have to deal with. طراحی سایت اصفهان
