Geo: 1.28941, 103.852nd October, 2016 We keep going into Raffles City and come out at different entrances we have not seen, which can be blocks away. The underground is a hive of everything you can think off, just extraordinary. Bought a pass for three days on Hippo Tours which travel the city and we can hop on and off when ever we want. Sunday in Orchard Road was crowded with the Domestic workers who have the Sunday off, so will check that one out another time. Hopped off at the Botanical Gardens, needing more water before exploring, Mick's feet had felt sore and while he waited for me to get the bottles of water took his shoes off and has 4 big blisters two on each foot so back to the Hotel on the next bus ... read more

Geo: 18.7833, 99.000124th September, 2016Very relaxing day saw the Dentist at 2pm - 4pm, still working on both of us, hate to think what this would cost at home. He is replacing metal fillings I have that are toxic and still no injections just the noise of the drill! Mick has a fitting tomorrow for his false upper teeth and Monday will finally have teeth to eat with. We then walked to the Downunder Pub and watched the last quarter of the Bull Dogs, fantastic that they are in finals for the first time since 1961! Walked past Mo Mo and Pim gave us a cuddle and with her day off yesterday asked why we had not had a meal at Mo Mo's? We had a meal and Mick had been unwell most of the day, ... read more

Geo: 18.7833, 99.0001Pom picked us up at 9am at the Hotel, and we headed off to the Doi Suthep, a very special Temple on top of one of the largest mountains, only this is not just another Temple but as written on our tickets a "secret peak that speaks at old customs, where mother nature's beauty cloth unfolds over the golden name of Nakorn Ping." Mick bought a statue of Monday's Buddha for the Ute mirror and one of the monk's blessed it for him which was special, the last time we visited I bought Friday's Buddha which are the days we were born on. They have an ancient calendar where they can tell us what day we were born and a Buddha that represents that day. We spent about two hours at the Temple and ... read more

Geo: 18.7833, 99.000120th September, 2016 Have been upgraded to a nice room, we have a reputation for tipping, 20 bht = 75c, when we arrived a porter came up with a book mark, the cleaner left a little wand for us after she cleaned our room. Went to the Dentist and booked a Tuk Tuk for each day 100 Bht - $3.76, good fun and at 2pm he waits for us at the Hotel drops us off and picks us up at 4pm. Mick and I are really pleased with the work done so far, he is starting to get bottom teeth to eat with! Went to Mo Mo last night for tea and met with our little Pim who is going really well and was flat out, Mick went out for a cigarette and anyone ... read more

Geo: 1.35221, 103.991Left Melbourne at 1105 an hour earlier then what we had been told and an air hostess came looking for us, running most of the way to get to the plane, I tripped up twice. Pretty sure it had something to do with the beverages I had at O'Relies! We were at the airport by 6.30pm and still nearly missed the plane. We arrived at 5.15am, in Singapore and 31c with rain, caught a taxi to the Mecure Roxy Hotel and were picked up by another taxi to meet the tour bus to the Zoo. We saw a lot of Singapore because the Taxi driver could not find the tour bus. Very impressed with how clean the city is and green, really lovely and the people have been very helpful. The Zoo was amazing ... read more

Geo: 18.7833, 98.9999We went to the Irish Pub in the Bazaar and coming home booked the Elephant Sanctuary tour which the girls recommended yesterday.Picked up at 8.30am and we were a part of a group of 8, 2 from Germany, 2 from China and 2 from England. We were given clothes to change into that the Elephants are familiar with the workers wearing. There were bags of sugar cane and bananas to feed them. One after another they came down to the river and we had a lot of fun washing them which is done twice a day. Big powerful animals who loved my camera because it is the colour of sugar cane so nearly lost it a couple of times. We made up a medication for them which helps them digest food because they don't ... read more
