Expensive NZ As Kiwis, I'm sad to admit that the tourist activities are way over-priced - although we never really realised it before we left.
The best things in life are free - this is certainly the case in nz! I'm gald you made the effort to see the natural wonders that made nz so good. Well done for finding the natural arch near Waitomo. A personal favourite of ours that not many people bother with!
Title is misleading The title "Around the world in 716 days - our Top 10 lists" is misleading. The world tour is incomplete without visiting India.India is "Half the world". Realy.
The title should be"Around Half of the world in 716 days - our Top 10 lists"
Wow, you've had a remarkable journey! I'm glad to see Czech R. in your top 10 countries :). I live in Prague, and there is much to see outside of Prague. Amazing photos, and honest writing. Thank you for sharing!
still visiting this blog... I read this blog before my trip to Torres a month ago. I thought I would get similar picutres, but it ended up being extremely challenging!! Im still in awe of some of the shots you got, especially the owl and Glacier Grey. The owl is haunting... Great work!!
good safari hello guys, well have been keeping up with your travels. Am so jealous it will be a lot to look back on but some fantastic memories. Treasure them forever. Write soon when you get teh time lots of love Holliex
Well... I've been in Brazil twice, once in Rio 2 years ago where I did the same tour. We were just 15 people no stressed at all. Everything was just fine and we loved to meet the favela's kind people and Brazilians in general. Such a wonderfull people, incredible places. It wasn't Carnival though! Too much tourists could ruin even the moon. By the way, to understand carnival better try to find the historical catolic-non-catolic facts of it.
G'luck!
Hi your photos are amazing, may be it would have been worth getting up for the sunrise at the Torres! Hope you found somewhere to stay / hang your hammocks in Rio, it was crazy where we were and I still have the cold to show for it. I´m back in Buenos Aires now, Sarah starts work on Monday. It was great to meet you and I hope you´re both well,
Mark
Amazing pics I'm sure you've heard it before but you will hear it again. The pictures are incredible. I love the picture of the owl. Patagonia has been added to my 'to see and hike' list.
Good... Thank you for puting up this pictures and promoting culture and tourism in Papua New Guinea...So much of the usual Negative publicity from the Mostly Australian Media.
Not jealous now Hi again guys. Well, I was abit jealous after reading your last blog, but
by the sounds of this bus trip I don't think I can express any jealousy
about that one. Hmmm...maybe the office isn't such a bad place to be after all. Cheers.
Stunning Hi guys, just got back to work from Xmas hols, so only just saw your blog. Wow! I am (as always) jealous of your being at the top of such
a wonderful mountain, but not jealous about walking to the top!
Keep the blogs coming. Happy wandering.
How long? We have been travelling for 21 and a half months straight. The dates of our blogs normally correspond to the departure date of the country/region. The exception is Australia where we spent a total of six months without doing much blogging. (Maybe I will fill this gap somewhere in the future.)
Just breathtaking Why on earth are the most beautiful things in life combined with such efforts? Congratulations, it's another great aim you achieved. We wonder what's coming next!
