| 26th November 2006 imayette | lol - From: Still Standing After Boracay funny remark about a friend of yours meeting a Filipina for a week and hooking up - we are not sooo conservative as you might think. As for Boracay - we've always been proud of it! Oh, maybe just so maybe Filipinos are already tired of swimming that's why the beaches or the dive spots you were in weren't that crowded. Being sorrounded by 7,107 islands - you really think most of us can't swim? haha.. too funny. I'm glad you had fun tho :P |
| 25th November 2006 Bonnie | Not getting the Journals - From: Chaing Mai Hey Kevin--I hadn't heard from you for so long so went back to an earlier journal and then could go to " the next journal" so now I'm getting all that I had missed--Jan and Judy hadn't heard also--I will let them know how to see the most recent ones, but of course it's better to get notified as we had been. Everything sounds so exotic--many new and unusual sights! Miss you Bonnie |

| 17th November 2006 Uncle Keith | More Comforable - From: Traveler Bars and Movie Stars Kevin, you should not leave Bangkok without getting a foot massaage. I have gotten many but the term is somewhat misleading because they always massage from the knee down and then finish with about 15 minutes working on the shoulders up. They will always ask if you feel comforable and say that I very haansome, want to know where I from. Usually they they offer best plice in 30 years to make me more comforable, say two girls make me twice as comforable with special plice cause I haansomme. Mc Donald's has conditioned me over the years to decline special offers so I am used to passing on the extras like special sauce and the like. They do seem to have a passion for story telling however cause they always want to know if if like happy ending. I have enjoyed watching your travels. I will be in Vietnam twice in December. If you run into trouble you should not be hesitant to drop my name, I have become sort of a big deal throughout the Pacific Rim. Uncle Keith |
| 17th November 2006 Kim | "Apple Don't Make Flowa" - From: Traveler Bars and Movie Stars Hey Kevvy, Looks like you are still busy and enjoying Asia, have you had the opportunity yet to use the now famous quote "Apple Don't Make Flowa" The kids and I went on one of Keith's 6 day trips with him to Narita and then on to Bangkok the summer before last and had a lot of fun. It's fun to see some of the sights now on your blogs, we totally get it about the "Engrish" and the signage, it's so funny. We will miss you on Thanksgiving next week. Eric really wanted to whip you on his PS2 game with UK playing UGA. You of course probably know by now that UK's football team beat UGA. Go Wildcats!! Be safe! Love, Kim |
| 15th November 2006 Mom | - From: One Country, Two Systems, Three Times the Fun I had two "oh my gosh" outloud comments while viewing the pics following the reading of your incredible tales of Hong Kong. The first was when I saw the city from above....it does indeed dwarf Atlanta. And then, as you can probably guess, when I looked closely at the chicken head and realized what it was...that was an "oh my gosh". Whew...what an amazing story. I am so glad you met up with some "suthrun gentility"....it can be refreshing. I know I miss it just traveling north in the summer. Your 2nd postcard arrived yesterday...it takes so long. Thank goodness for blogs and email....you are just a keypad away. Stay safe! x0x0x0x0Mom |

She misses you bunches. Also...all those ducks...geez, I can only think of poor Ping! Your observations about T Square are what I have thought all along...a great big parking lot. Had a great day today...vol. at the hospital, and now Kari is home for the night before a cheerleading practice tomorrow in Cobb County...remember that? Going out in the boat as soon as I sign off. | 21st October 2006 Randall | nostalgia... - From: Forbidden Streets and Beijing Eats oh I remember the times. I'm so jealous you go to go to the Forbidden City. It was completely closed off when we were there. I wasn't brave enough to try the stuff off the street there....they just got really mad at me for taking pictures and not buying anything! The duck was the most amazing thing I had there the whole time. Most of the other food just wasn't flavorful enough for me. Anyway, about to head to the game (hopefully we'll win this time...). Missed ya at Initiation last night! Have a good trip,, Randall |

Then the next morning at 5:30AM I said to Dad, "I wonder how Kev is?" Looks like you are having an incredible time...indeed a great start to the next 8 or 9 months. I am happy for you and can't wait to read more. Love ya! Mom |
| 13th October 2006 SheanThang | Fat Kids Arrive in Japon - From: Sushi Then Sleep Please make note of the 11 plates that KJScott filled up on. All the Asians (or as we called them for the time being "Canadians"") were banging on the table screaming "ichiban" and chanting for Kevin to eat more. Thank goodness we can hold up the obese American reputation. PS. We not only watched the sushi chef fish dinner out of the tank, we also watched slice and dice and then finally slap the fish in front of us before he put it on the converyor belt in order to make sure it wouldn't squirm off the plate and onto the floor. Mooshy Mooshy!! |
| 13th October 2006 Bonnie K | Live fish and dead Kevin - From: Sushi Then Sleep Hey--so excited to hear about your trip--we're all thinking about you. So much fun to have Kari along with you for awhile Have lots of fun and a little bit of sleep Love, Bonnie |

| 9th October 2006 Bonnie | A Productive Summer - From: Vineyard Goodbyes Hi Kevin--enjoyed the lastest update--printed it out for Stoney and he like it also. Good luck on your new adventures |
| 14th August 2006 Mom | Still havin' fun! - From: The Host With The Most Your pictures are great, and your stories even greater. The sunset on Lambert's Cove is my favorite...as James Taylor wrote in a song years ago, "out to the west of Lambert's Cove...there is a sail out in the sun. I'm coming home I'm very sure...I've come home to stop yearning." Glad to know that your memories are getting better as the months go by. August is...by far...the best of the summer. And then there is September!!!!! That, Kevin, will be the best~ cool nights, crisp blue skies....and sunsets that linger long into the night! Love, Mom |
