Well my trip through jordan has now reached Amman and within a day or two i should be heading into syria (visa permitting). I arrived with a french/spanish couple and a japanese guy who i met at the ticket office to in nuwieba. After a scenic walk across a huge diesel smelling truck park we boarded the ferry and headed over to aqaba in jordan together after an epic and slightly longer than stated ferry ride. To summarise, rocked up at the HI hostel in klagenfurt after trekking through the town centre where teenage kids were throwing fireworks at anyone and everyone. The hostel as expected was devoid of travellers and i was informed by the receptionist that this town had the highest suicide rate in autria. I can kind of believe it after walking around the town to discover its excpetional blandness. Not the best start but it was the cheapest flight, good old ryanair. [View Full Entry]
