so... you didn't stay in Brussels?? What about the peeing boy?? The chocofigures of the peeing boy T___T *rejected* And omg.. don't even get me started on UofO.. GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhh. I swear, I almost had an aneurysm at work on the 22nd/23rd. Anyway, so I was listening to the radio at work today, and (nearly) every song was MJs. Newspapers were: Big Headline=Michael Jackson, followed by a small blurb on Farrah Fawcett. Just a quick question, how come I was unaware that Ottawa is pretty bilingual (its University seems to prefer one language over the other)?

Aw mannnn haha, I wish I would've got this before I left, I def would've checked out the shop. I did a walking tour though - definitely the highlight of my trip so far. I love the walking tours; I'm going to do one in Munich for sure, and probably in Prague as well. I'll def keep an eye out for the Jewish Cemetary tour. Thanks!

Haha, thanks. It only seemed to be a problem in Paris - or at least I haven't encountered it elsewhere yet *knock on wood*. I'm lucky I speak French otherwise it would've been a whole other ball game.

walking tour in Berlin
Hi Julie, Bill and I met up with Rosalie in Germany (a few years ago) after she had been travelling by herself for a few weeks in Europe. She wanted to see the zoo because she was tired so off to the zoo which required few grey cells. I agree, I prefer Toronto Zoo over the Berlin one but it was still relaxing to wander around the place. It also helped since we were staying in a hotel that was just around the corner so we could leave at any time if we didn't enjoy it. Did you notice the sex shop on your way in? We never did go in although I was rather curious to see what "no man has ever been able to perform" meant. If you are still there when you get this, try a walking tour. We met with a fellow, trained in architecture and history (originally from Korea, then US) who was very thorough in explaining the history of Berlin, plus all the little details you don't get from the larger companies. For $10/euro we had a very nformative 21.5 hour tour. We saw the brochure in some shops so you shouldn't have too much a problem finding someone who can direct you to them if you are interested; there is always your hostel which is awealth of information. I always check out the walking tours no matter where I go as the perspective is very different from the bus tours. If you make it to Czech, take the Jewish cemetary tour. Enjoy all the delights of travel and remember, everything that happens, sound better when you're home.

Congratulations!
Hi Julie, Congratulations on your recent nuptials; LOL. Things don't sound like they have changed too much in the men department since I was there almost 35 years ago. Apparently North American women w/o family around them wear these invisible signs that say "feel free to hastle". Seems like you have things under control though. Happy travels and stay safe. Joan
