Rome! Rome was a fantastic whirlwind of a city. First off, I recommend at least 4 days to see it. We walked everywhere, when we weren't taking the free metro (the Romans don't pay for it, so neither did we...when in Rome...). The people were quite hospitable, probably because most of the locals were on holiday when we went, during the heat of August. Although wherever we went, before we even said a word, people greeted us with 'Hey, what's up?', so we clearly had 'Americani' written all over us. The Vatican is first of all, the greatest manmade work of labor ever created by any collective group of people ever.
