Rome memories We've read all the entries but this one on Rome brought back wonderful memories for me. Especially the Colosseum, Forum and Spanish Steps. Our apartment was 21/2 blocks up the street from the colosseum and we saw it every day when we walked out our door for a week. Wonderful, even if it was 90+ degrees. Can't wait to talk to you when you get home.
Train I'M SO JEALOUS YOU SAW TRAIN! That's amazing and sounds like an awesome concert. If I remember correctly, I was the one who introduced you to their new album... I think they were in San Diego a few weeks ago actually. It's cool they were near both of us this month. Miss you lots!
Mark Twain "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.."-Mark Twain

cheap umbrellas can be found in Italy too Laughed out loud at your umbrella entry. Very similar thing happened to Uncle Richard and I while we were in Italy. Uncle Richard looked at your picture and said " that looks exactly like your umbrella, which lasted about 10 mins, too." Like you, it provided some great laughs throughout the day.
Your grandmother and I have enjoyed your blogs. Please note the change to our new email address of
