Let me introduce you to my hosts during my stay in Taiwan. My niece, Jennifer, and her husband, Will, live in Taichung, Taiwan (in the central, west side of the country). They've been here for about six months. Why are they here? Good question. They are trying very, very, very hard to learn Chinese. Monday through Friday they studiously go to the university to learn their characters and tones. Good luck Jen and Will, not that you'll need it... psych! But more on that later. Because of a national holiday, Dragon Boat Day, schools were closed on Monday and Tuesday.
