Naming an entry about my time in Singapore after a character from Viz is probably as silly as it seems, but at least there is a bit of a connection there, with Raffles, the almost legendary hotel in Singapore City, holding a big place in the history of this powerhouse city-state. When we arrived in Singapore, The heat wasn't as bad as we were expecting, but the dampness was. It was the end of the rainy season, and rain it did for large parts of our stay. The dampness did nothing for my cold, but I actually quite liked it. I like misty, wet places, and Singapore was just that for our stay.
