Today we had decided to do some proper tourist stuff again, and today was the turn of the Wai-O-Tapu volcanic area. This is a 3 section walk, which takes in various boiling springs, lakes, waterfalls and various lakes. There is also, a little bit away from the main area, a lake of bubbling mud, and also the Lady Knox geyser, which, with a little bit of manual intervention, erupts at 10.15 every morning, so we left early enough to be able to get there in time for that. The drive there was quite good fun, and we arrived in good time, so took a bit of time to take photos of the mud pool, before taking our places to watch the geyser erupt.
