Its been a couple of weeks since I last updated you about the goings on on my magical mysterious European adventure, so, as I sit on the Deutsch Bahn train from Graz to Bonn..I will recall some of the highlights and lowlights so far! I will fill you in on how I made it here!! So after leaving the Woodstock School on the 22nd of December, I strapped all my bags on my co worker Caleb's motorcycle. In the style of a bedouin farmer, I had my garment bag and small backpack on the back of the bike, and rode with my big backpack on my back. While I grabbed on for dear life to the back of Caleb. It took about 15 minutes to get to the Picture Palace in Mussoorie; where the 80 cent ... read more

Oki Doki.. Please excuse my tardiness.. but my blog is back and running again. I last kept everyone up to date with the goings on in my life Back in May.. Let me refresh you all and bring you up to date. After leaving India in early May, I flew to Switzerland and Germany for a few weeks before flying to Los Angeles and making an appearance on the Price is Right. For those of you that didn't already know, I didn't win the showcase showdown or even my way up on stage.. But I did have one heck of a time in the audience! Check out the pics! On May 27th I flew home to Canada, and I was supposed to be home for about 5 weeks. Factor in some visa difficulties and I would ... read more

Blog 16.. Wow.. Seems like I am writing an encyclopedia! Hope that you are enjoying my goings on! I last left you at Woodstock a little over a week ago. The final few days were incredible in Mussoorie! We had what was called Jazz Jam at the school, and several of the students performed in the Jazz ensemble. In between sets, Adi, Prateek and I jammed out ourselves! The venue was the corridor at the school. It features a great open air area, and the accoustics were AMAZING! We were well appreciated, and we got tonnes of comments about our songs! Fun times indeed. A good pal of mine, Emil from Sweden, came to visit and it was great to show him the school and my new world! Soneyaa cooked had a nice farewell luncheon for ... read more

So.. Welcome back everyone! Here I am - sorry for the delay in the latest installment of this blog. I had been updating every week or ten days... I got a little lazy and shall try and get you quickly up to date on the state of affairs. When I last left you, I was at the Golden Temple in Amritsar. I had the most magnificent time at the temple and ate like a king. I left the temple to get to the train station, and arrived 45th in the que for a seat. I rushed in the train station, and found two of the conductors on the platform for the overnight train to Daradun. I inquired about my seat location on the train, and was told that I didn't have a seat at all. After ... read more

Alrighty Ladies and Gents. I shall update you in this the 14th instalment of my blogging. I am currently sitting on the train to Agra, home of the world famous Taj Mahal. I only just made this train! In fact it was quite a chore to find track number 17 at Mumbai’s CST station, formerly known as Queen Victoria station. I nearly missed the train due to a traffic jam involving some cattle that just didn’t want to move. Getting into the station and rushing is never a great idea, especially when you cant find a departure platform! But circumstances will always be what they are! For anyone that happens to find themselves in the same predicament, Track 17 is located directly at the end of Track 15, but you just have to walk up the ... read more

Oki doki smokey kids! Here comes blog number 13! Some people are afraid with the number 13, I’m not one of those. 13 has always been a lucky number, so allow me to fill you in on whats been happening in India. I last left you off in Varkala, a couple of weeks ago. I would end up being in Varkala for about 2 and a half weeks. There was a magical feel to this amazing cliff side community. Varkala is a great place to sit and have brekkie and watching the dolphins jumping in the Arabian sea! The multinational people that I met and ended up spending some quality time with, my simple room at the White House! And the amazing cuisine made me stay much longer then the couple of days I thought I ... read more

Here we go for blog 12. The time in Cairns was great. The weather was HOT and so was the humidity in the tropical region of Cairns. Although the temperature was moderate in the mid to high 30’s, it felt like 45C. It didn’t help that the rooms at the hostel were air conditioned and set to 18C! I spent my time at the great barrier reef, and in the rainforest as planned. There were many joys in the rainforest. There was also plenty of rain in Cairns. A cyclone had been scheduled to hit Cairns, and that didn’t seem to happen. But it led to a king tide coming, and causing the waves to morph out of the ocean and flood the surrounding area. With the massive flooding and rains, there was a natural ... read more

It really was a fascinating place to stay and get lost in. Enjoyed it immensely. Here are some pics from the time there. Highlights include watching Tosca from row 6 and what an amazing twist to this version, in the renowned Sydney opera house. Headed to the Big Day out concert at the olympic grounds. It was a great day! Go to the see some great music including MUSE at the festival. Oki.. Fasten your seatbelts kids, here goes the ride from Katharine to Sydney, where I am now. When we said our goodbyes to 5 of our own, Sandra. Reinout, Fleur, Michael and Richard, Sunny and Bertand and myself would tear up the earth and see a lot of Australia. Oh what a ride it was! Sunny is driving a $75,000 company car and put 15000 Kms on it in a mere 3.5 weeks. Driving from Katharine to Sydney was almost 6000 Kms! We took turns driving the terrain. We saw wild horses and sheep, wild camels and lambs, wild kangaroos and foxes, wild goats and dingoes. Then there were the wild cows and bulls too! We were very lucky to not hit any of them, well I didn’t anyways. Sunny hit a few birds along the ... read more
