Ian andHelen. We loved Tucson. You will have to go for a spin in the cactus national forest. It is a loop and it is beautiful. There is also a western town where gun fights happen It's called old Tucson studios, And the loop is called saguaro if I remember rightly. Beautiful cactus but Ian be careful of the cactus that throws needles at you if you get too close. (For real. )xo. The resort was called Hilton Tucson el Conquistador golf and tennis Absolutely relaxing. Enjoy. Xo
Love those turbines!! Hi you 2. I'm so glad that you call the turbines turbines, not windmills!!!!!! You are the first person I have met that uses the correct noun. OK enough of that. I loved your email Ian about keeping busy when Helli was home in Victoria. We were on the boat for a week and had sporatic cell sercive so just read your blog yesterday. Glad that you survived without each other....lol. I'm anxious to hear where you're going next....what a vacation so far!
Golf Ok Ian. I knew you would be golfing, but I only have one question. Where did you get the clubs? Thought you would rent them. Funniest picture to date. Biker with clubs. So funny. Soooo where to now. Love the blogs. Yes more little brother. Xo
Coffee time As Helen and I sit in the warmth of the sun drinking our Starbucks latte's, that took 15 minutes to be made because it was so crazzzzy busy, chatting and laughing and just catching up on the past month or so, she says to me " have you read my blog today"? ....... Seriously Helen... do you think I would have been enjoying the time with you as much if I had read it? !!! So thank you so much for fitting me into your short, chaotic, return. And I thought dealing with getting on the wrong bus this morning and still making it to work on time was triumphant. hugs, and be safe on those bikes.
Too Hot? Ian says 26 is for candy asses. It is 47 here today. You can't even walk across the pool deck in bare feet. My hair was dry in 3 minutes, from the wind, hotter than hairdryer. We are now inside in air conditioned condo!
On our ride today we met an english couple from Chester, who keep a bike in LA andcome out once a year for three weeks to ride. You see, you and Freddie could do this too! Love you. xxxxx
Elvis Hi. Say hi to Elvis for me. Xo. Wish I was ther. Love Vegas. Going back in October. Enjoy pools, beer, night life. Good show to see is terry fador. Ventriloquist. He's amazing. Enjoy the heat relax a bit. Xo
Video Gutted, video wont open over here for some reason, have tried it through you tube direct too :( Will just have to watch it next time we see you! Keep forgetting to ask you, are you sitting on your sheepskin rug again ? I saw one at a bike night a couple of weeks ago and thought of you. It wasnt for sale, it was on a triumph. Xx
Hi sis Hi love. Wonder why u can't play it in YouTube.com? I will email you the windows media player version which you shouldbe able to play. And yes to sheepskin. Have you started making and selling them over there yet? Like the new business cards. So are you selling just live animals now or continuing with the sausages? We keep thinking of you and Freddie and that you could rent a bike here and do some of these rides with us, miss you. Thanks for following along. It means a lot to us. It was too hot to go into the pool today. Crazy heat here. Today it's 112. We are leaving at 4 tomorrow morning to beat the heat. Wish us luck ! Xxxx
Awesome! Thank you, thank you Ian for the awesome video. I must say I felt a bit woozy going around so of those corners but the scenery was spectacular. Bob and I rode the Pacific Marine Highway today,Lake Cowichan, Port Renfrew, Sooke and home. Great day but quite boring after reading your blog and seeing the photos and video. Be safe!!
Heatwave Are you having the heat over there like we are over here? Oh to be out on the bike with the wind rushing by and the scenery putting a smile on your face. Fred starts combining tomorrow. I'm cutting grass for hay later so thats a nice smell with the sun shining too......and no air con in the tractor!!!! Enjoy your riding days, its certainly looking damn good. Ride safe as always. Love ya both xxxxxxxxxx.
Hi guy's Looks like your getting pretty close to Las Vegas. Nice and warm down there. Thanks for the blogs. They are amazing. Looks like you are seeing a bit of everything. Stay safe. Xo
Exhausted! Where do you get your energy? It's a good thing we read your blogs last thing in the day. By the time we've travelled through your day we're exhausted. Don't know how you do it but keep on trucking it's great. Love the pics.
Have yet to see the MTC as we arrived in Salt LC in a snow storm and had to leave next morning or be snowed in. Much of your route we have done (car of course) in past years so it's great seeing it through your eyes and incredible experiences. Love the pics.
Cheers!

Helli, keep your toes dry! and Ian watch out for those giant hamburgers, you'll be bringing them home with you. Are you still running every morning?
Hi In your "most polite English accent".....I just howled when I read this. I hope you meant your British accent....that would send any Yank for a loop. Sounds like you guys are having fun as always. I sure enjoyed the 6 days on the bike with Bob....it was great! Be safe out there.
Hi Hi sis, yes I meant my finest British accent! Glad you had a great time on the bike. Oregon is such a fantastic place to ride and visit. So does this mean a couples bike trip in September when we are home?? Love and hugs xx
Yellowstone Park Clever format for todays blog . . . Yellowstone, despite all the people, is definitely a must see . . . scenery is spectacular. Looks like you're enjoying yourselves.
Les's bucket list Hi guys. Have been following but we got company so have been busy. Im back. We haven't talked to anyone that has gone to Yellowstone so glad to hear its nice. Pictures are amazing. Sounds like the weather is co-operating this time. Ride safe and Ian quit pissing off the animals. Love yea. Xo
Bike trip #2 here we come. Last year, we rode over 20,000 kms on our Suzuki VStrom 650 motorbikes from Victoria, BC Canada to St. John's NL Canada and back.
This summer, we have no itinerary other than to head south from Victoria, BC Canada. No left or right turns required. In search of somewhere warm. To visit some of the U.S. that we weren't able to see last year.
We are still on the VStroms, still wearing the same gear, still excited as ever about riding.
Follow us along on this journey as we discover new scenery, new friends, new things about ourselves, and make new memories.
Thanks fo... full info
