Last one in Chengdu, promise. China has lots of temples, the first one you visit is always exiting. After visiting 10 or so, its not that exiting anymore. They look very much alike after a while. That has been my experience, if someone were more educated about Chinese temples I'm sure it would be more fascinating. However, 宝光寺Baoguang Monastery was very unique. Being an active monastery gives the place a more relevant, and lively atmosphere. Lots of tourist come to the temple daily. Around the back side of the main tourist path is a connected area of quiet gardens. That is also where the monks dormitories are. Outside of Chengdu, but surrounded by an urban area, high walls keep the noise out. It is surprisingly quite and peaceful. Then to combine entires I added some photos
