I opted for a relaxing morning, taking a stroll around the point. The big ticket for today is whitewater rafting on the Shotover River. With all the rain over the past few days, the water level was going to be high (a lot of grade four rapids and one grade five). The weather is fantastic. Bright, sunny, but not too hot. A forty-five minute drive along an old gold-mining road built over one hundred years ago brought us to the start of the trip. An added bonus for the trip was renting a helmet camera. Yes, I have video of the trip and it turned out pretty good. There were seven in our raft (two from Sweden, two from China, one from Malaysia, and another Canadian) plus our guide, Marcio (from Brazil). I'll let the videos
