WOW! Hey, Zach! Those pics were amazing! It looks like Santiago is a very large city. I was surprised to see how really clean it looked for a metropolitan city. it looks like you will have your free time, (what little you'll have) used up just exploring the wonderful buildings and grounds. There is a lot of history there! I wish you well with the class work you will soon be starting. Isn't it amazing? I am so-o-o-o proud of you and happy for you!
Love always, Aunt Barb xoxoxo
Hi Z Fed!! Hi Z Fed! Thanks for posting your notes and pics. Glad to hear you made it there. It looks like a beautiful place! It looks sunny and warm and pretty - it's interesting to see the mix of old stone historical structures and new high rises. I'm glad your hostel is OK. Have fun, be safe. I see you got rid of your beard! We miss you! It's busy as......you know.
I miss you already! I hope you have a good seat on the plane ;o) Drink some champagne on the way in and take a hot towel (if they still give those out). Write again when you land so we know you got there safely!
XOXO

Day 1! I was at a Santiago Bus Terminal, and this director was looking for all her Ingles Abre Puertas teachers :)
The funny thing is, she asked if I worked for Ingles Abre Puertas. It was the first time I had heard English from a stranger in a long time, so I was caught off guard at first. But I said yes-- because I did!-- and she got really excited and tried to usher me onto their bus. I had to break it to her that I wasn't part of that specific program :( But, she and the rest of the folks were really, really nice and friendly. I think you will be in good manos! You'll have a great time, hun :)
keep it up Zach:
I enjoying traveling just as much as the next guy, but when I'm back at home all I have to remember my travels are some sweet pictures, memories, and my journal entries. Keep writing and write about everything!
Peace, DREW
Major I actually majored in Sociology and minored in Political Science and Women's and Gender Studies. They basically just look for native speakers with Bachelor's degrees.
Good luck That sounds like an interesting job. I love to travel myself. Just came back from South America last month, already plotting my next excursion. Is your major english, or something else?
I graduated from college recently and my biggest regret was not studying abroad while I was in school. I want to see the world but I want to do it in a way that allows me to give something to the communities I am visiting. To this end I have decided to move to Chile for 8 months to teach English. This is the blog of my experience.
