Singing?? There were some attempts at singing - or at least that's what Harry was calling his out of tune warbling. There was aircon in the cab but we were trying not to use it too often, especially when the petrol got up to $2 a litre.

What a great trip- we did the same thing in Australia and New Zealand in 91-92- rented a car and camped or stayed in Hostels, so we have visited the same places and this brings back great memories. Coober Pedy it poured with rain and everything was slimy grey mud so I mined my opal using a credit card in the gift shop.
Re Flies etc I can imagine how much Steph enjoyed the flies- hat with corks would have been the answer!
I am impressed withh all the walking you are doing in that heat are you both loosing weight??
We are travelling to Australia via Mauritius, then taking a boat to Singapore and making our way back to the UK overland through South East Asia, China, Mongolia, Russia and Europe.
