We arrived in Auckland and headed straight to the Spaceship Office to pick our van “Lobo” up. A spaceship is a campervan, or a people career converted into a campervan. Described as the Swiss army knife of campervans, it was ace. It had everything we needed and wanted for a month on the road in NZ, including a DVD player along with a small selection of dvds that could be traded with any other passing Spaceship van. After sorting the van out and making ourselves comfortable we hit the road heading to the Northlands of NZ, an area mostly populated by Maoris. We headed up the east coast to the Bay of islands, our first glimps of NZ wildlife and scenery. We did a boat trip which toured through the bay and around all the islands,
