Looks Fantastic!
Just checking out your trip and really enjoyed your adventure so far! Wow! Looks like a fun jaunt. The Gion District looks magical as do all the temples. Great photos - thanks. Have a beer for me! Safe travels!

wooden structure
You weren't kidding - it's huge! It's impressive how a wooden building like that can withstand the test of time, especially considering how humid Japan is. Love the food pics, too.

Good Luck in Shikoku!
Hey dude! Good luck with the driving. Hopefully it will be a VERY small car, so even if you wander to the right, no one will notice. I thought the last shot of the castle was particularly notable. Keep up the good work. (Mom says hi.) -Sharon

Pictures
Hi Son - the pictures are awesome. The temple is certainly beautiful. I am not sure about the lunches though. Good luck driving on the wrong side of the road.

Matsumotooooooo
Hey there, Thanks for the food pics. Makes me want to eat sushi. Well, if I wanted to eat, I would want to eat sushi. Can't find pickled ginger here to save my life. The castle is indeed impressive, but I think the cat has a certain majesty all its own, eh?

Not kidding at all about it! Actually near the tower it looks like they were setting up a French-cafe type area, had music playing and such.

Clock tower
Are you kidding about the clock tower? The bath story was pretty funny (well, from here anyway). Also liked the Eiffel by night. Have you noticed a lot of french restaurants, too? Need more food pics, by the way. Gotta know what you're eating, now that I'm not...

Hey there, Liked the video of the train. Gives a good sense of how fast you were going. I hope Sapporo is fun! Also liked the ryokan info and pics. Looks so cozy and relaxing. Here's hoping you remain un-crushed for the rest of your trip. -Sharon

"Another shot of the TV at Shinjuku... check out the ad at the top I'm not sure what he's selling but with a face like that how could you go wrong?" I'm not sure but he looks like Mr Sulu. Any other "famous faces" you've recognized over there?
