Beautiful pictures Thank you for your fun description of what could have been a terrible experience. In your profile you hope to re-read about your adventures when you are older. I am almost 71 and about to take off for Russian, Estonia, Finland, and Ireland. There is no need to stop traveling just because you get older- unless you are totally incapacitated. I have been blogging since 2006 and wish I had had the opportunity to do it much sooner as I now have a written 'history' of my trips since then but not much before then including my first trip to Ireland where I was blessed to meet many cousins I never knew I had and even to see the childhood home of my maternal grandmother. It was the most emotional travel experience I've ever had. Keep blogging!

Getting to know Ireland Hello Teo, it was fun reading your story about getting lost and your couch surfing friend was waiting for you. I'm glad you enjoyed the experience. Sounds like you had a wonderful time. I'm glad your host had dogs. Always good to meet more dog people. Amazing photo of Guinness Lake.
hope it helps! Hi Erdi, thanks for your comments, hope it's useful for u planning ur trip to Italy, it's a beautiful country and I'm sure u will love it there.

In my excitement looking at the image on the screen, and clearly un-accustomed to this new-fangled technology, I deleted the image forever!
Coming through the standard education that pushed myself to seek for academic excellence, I never really knew what I wanted to do, and no aspirations on what I really want to be in the future. Growing up from a not so well-to-do family (but a very blessed one), I had little opportunities to travel, hence making my every journey on the plane/cruise/train a precious one. With every trip, I grew to like, then love the idea of just packing a bag, fly and go. An immense sense of satisfaction from understanding more about an unknown place, interacting with the locals from a ... full info
