Glad to hear you got to experience real Filipino hospitality....and happy to hear that the incident that happened as you landed at Clark did not da,pen your escapades in the Philippines right away as most people would have let that got into them!!!
Hi there!!! It gives me a great pleasure to find that people do find our country and its people fascinating. I am originally from the Philippines, but have been here in the UK for 13 years, and there has not been a day that I have not thought about my homeland and its people. I have read a few unsettling blogs about the Filipino people recently when people say negative things like.... rip-off locals, third world country, below-par accommodations, etcetera etcetera and it is so nice to hear that you along with so many other bloggers that have enjoyed their adventures in the PHILIPPINES, really got to know the real FILIPINO people. Some of the bloggers that have said negative things about the Philippines are probably the people that had only visited touristy places like BORACAY or PALAWAN. Great as they may be (In fact I have been to both destinations), there is so much more to the Philippines than just these overhyped tourist destinations. Anyway, thank you for taking time to visit my homeland the Philippines and I hope you go back there soon. To those who did not have good experiences about the Philippines, keep spreading your negative words, as this will mean less people will travel to our 7,107 islands. We do not want the Philippines to be infiltrated with tourists who HAVE NO LOST THEIR open-mindedness and all they do is keep moaning about simple things in life!!! WE certainly do not want any of our islands to be the next BENIDORM or Phuket. We want the real travellers who actually have a sense of adventure!!!!! Anyway, I got a bit carried away, so apologise to you James and Hannah. It would be great to meet you both when you are back in the UK. Here's your new Filipino/British friend....LOUMER from BRIGHTON

James have been following your journey on this blog. It looks awesome and reminds me of my time spent in Asia. My bro is just back from cycling from Vietnam to Cambodia for Prostate Cancer and your photos remind me of what he sent me during his trip. Enjoy every moment - I can't understand why you wouldn't rather be in the FF office.....anyway I have left there now for a job with the Premier League so hopefully catch up when you are back and I can hear even more about the trip which will make me so jealous and want to be travelling again!!!! Love every moment which remains for you - it will start to go fast!!! enjoy siobhan

Its got everything!!
Well my day is complete, another blog from our intrepid duo! I think the last 2 have been my favourites.... anti-western isolation on buses, stolen breakfasts, food throwing, drink, drugs, pole dancing, slash and burn across Luang Prebang, ridiculously forgetting what day to turn up for a flight, crazy landladies and boxing now raised to dizzy new dizzy heights as cultural!! I cant wait for the next one with Dr SWAN, love to both, Mum Ross xxxxxxx
