Still in Scotland Europe » United Kingdom » Scotland » Edinburgh
Dear Friends and Family, It has been over six months since my last update, and consequently perhaps also six months since you last heard from me. I thought it was longer but… that’s still long enough! I can start with another bullet list and then further detail the more interesting bits. In that last six months I have (chronologically): - finished my second semester of taught courses - gone to Kenya with my university on a study tour - stayed behind and traveled through Tanzania including Zanzibar - turned 24 - had my step-mom visit and go see London town and [View Full Entry]

Long Time No Update Europe » United Kingdom » Scotland » Edinburgh
Hi. It's been a long time... I've been really busy, yet, at the same time it seems strange to say I'm really busy because I'm only fully committed 12 hours a week to actually be somewhere (lecture). But I am! I'm so busy, since I last wrote, I've: - help elect Obama (WOOT!) - written two final papers - taken three final exams - traveled to Spain with Yuko - traveled to Poland with Paulina - continued my RA job and responsibilities - had my friend Rachel visit - got a flat tire on my bike :( (and still haven't fixed, [View Full Entry]

Hello Friends and Family! You may have signed up to this blog of mine just to hear about South America, and if that's the case feel free to remove yourself form the auto-informers if you choose. Otherwise you'll here about Scotland! I know, I'm sorry it's been over a month since I've arrived, and I haven't written any news much aside from "Hi, I'm okay" to most of you... But, hi! I'm okay! Actually I'm more than okay, I'm fantastic. I am LOVING it over here. I arrived in mid September without much trouble and so pleased to be on my [View Full Entry]

Hola Hola Friends and Family! It´s been a while since I wrote, sort of on purpose, something got a hold of me and I was too involved to write and also later not too sure how or what to write about it whatsoever so I just didn´t write. Well, now I´ve realized that I´ve done many other things as well and other things have also happened to me that I do know how to write about and that I have people in my life who want to know. SO here we go. I did go back to Argentina, stayed there living [View Full Entry]

I´ve Been There!

Hello. Where to start? I guess this is always the question. But now the question I´m facing is Where to go? It´s great traveling sans plans, but then whenever you are done somewhere, you have to think really hard (usually, sometimes its easy) and figure out what the heck you want to do next. Consult the guide books, get out the maps, and try to remember everything every other traveler and local you´ve met has said about what places. But of course, the most important thing is to listen to your heart, and see where it tells you it wants to [View Full Entry]

Mom and Me

Lugo

Hey! Amigos! What´s up! I´m having a GREAT time again! I say again because for one week I did NOT have a good time. Two weeks ago and a little more, I left Buenos Aires to go work on an organic farm in El Bolson, apparently the hippy capital of Argentina. Well, apparently apparently means quite seriously. I did not like El Bolson much at all, and the farm where I worked was run by a nice young family who were just too stoned all the time to make any real connection with me. I was looking for a family to [View Full Entry]

Enjoying The Lake

My head is hot... like an overheated car engine and its not just the humid summer to blame. They say that once you turn 20 your brain is pretty much wired for life. Somehow, I think I've done the impossible and have reverted back to my brain at 15 years of age. Not completely, but so close. Again, I'm in a foreign country though more alone than before. Again, three languages are crashing through my head without much organization to help keep me sane. Each time English was pushed far back in the depths, before is was Japanese invading Spanish [View Full Entry]
