After reading Janis' comment, I thought I'd write to say I read the blogs too ;). Rhonda from B-head and myself spent last week in Rome - very cool and quite unique. Anyhow, have a good one, power to the people ;) and here's to the next installment!
I am so impressed.... Hi Tara and Lindsay,
Thank you so much for the great pictures and stories...it is like reading the national geographic...I want more....This is truly an experience of a lifetime and I'm really excited for you two globetrotters. I really can't wait to hear the "rest of the story" when you return home. Thanks for sharing your holidays with us
Take care and keep snapping those photos...One never knows when National Geographic needs an interesting story.
See you sometime in the future

Amazing Hello Sistahs!!!
Your last blog regarding the cows was simply fantastic! It's true that we definitely take advantage of them (even those of us who are vegetarian). I'm equally impressed by your "investigative journalism"; it shows you truly want to become immmersed in Indian culture. Your next journal entry was sad, but enlightening. I'm so happy you got to see Jim! Thank you (and him) again for calling me, despite your apparent drunkenness (Lindsay). It meant a lot!! I'm writing too much. Love you both and keep the blogs coming. Remember, just because people don't write comments doesn't mean they don't read the blogs and love them!!! Keep up the great grammar. I'm proud of you :)
You crazy Canadians!!! Hey guys...New Zealand Cath here...you are AMAZING journal writers...I had to keep checking whether it was from you or some published author...the photos look like out of the National Geographic...you should give them a call!! Amyways sounds like you had a FAB time!! Keep in touch once you're home!!! Cath x x PS I still havnt forgotten to send you those Poon hill pictures...just need the time!!!(Dont give up on me!!)x
Too cool ! Hey Tara... it's really cool to read that you're having such a good time travelling in Asia. Your descriptions of the landscape and culture are very interesting and I, along wih many a reader, follow your trek with anticipation for the next tidbits of info. Keep your yoga practice up, if you have time and strength! I hear many Yoga Loft yogi(nis)s are in Mysore right now, including posibly Rameen! Take good care and happy trails :-)
so happy for you Hi there,
I am also loving learning about India from your eyes and adventures. Thanks so much for sharing, how much longer is your trip? or do you know? Keep sending updates, all is well in my world...
Love ya,
K
Resilience! Wow, nothing seems to be easy in India! But beautiful...I love your cow picture. Poor Paul, I empathize with your size...I have lost many a brain cell since my 6 foot frame arrived in Japan and started doing battle with Japanese rooms. But your sense of humour remains through everything, cheers to my feisty friends! (My own resilience comes down to sitting in rooms with no heating as winter comes on in Kyoto.....getting out of the shower is particularly nasty. Fortunately the rom I sleep in has heat. Kyoto is reputedly colder than Edmonton in winter due to the humidity...yikes!)
So excited for you! Hey guys - just thought I would drop you a line to let you know how excited I am for you and your adventures. Thanks so much for the informative updates. Never have I learned so much from someone else's travels! That's awesome! Can't wait to see ALL the pictures and hear ALL the stories when I see you next!
what a story! Hi Linds! glad to hear about your adventures, sure makes me wish i was traveling with you, despite the rotten night bus! you and tara really should be writers, your very good at it and i cant wait to see what happens next. happy travels!
Thank you Hi girls,
I hope you`re having a blast! Thanks for the great blog. I will be in Goa for New Year`s. Never even been to India. I heard I`m in for quite the culture shock, being canadian myself. Thanks for the insights...
Brave You guys are my heroes...the most adventure I've had lately is a four-person beer bong on Halloween...filled with Pilsner! OMG, I laughed so hard at the Shanti story...the people in my office think I'm nuts...keep up the good work and play safe! luvNhugs...Lele
Remember: Cows are sacred If you were thinking of eating any cow (or pig, for that matter) be careful! Especially in Kashmir, you might want to stick to your vegetarian/vegan ways!! HA HA! Looks like you are having a lovely time. I love the outfits! I wish I were there. luvNhugs...Lele...
Better than travel writer Paul Theroux Hey Tara and Lindsay ! Your entries are a real treat to read...it sounds you are having a great time ! The pictures are cool and the stories priceless. I am glad you decided to share your experience with all of us. Look forward to reading and enjoying your next installment. Have lots of fun and a safe trip.
can't believe it! hi guys!
My name is Roxanna and I've just read about your ''desert'' experiecne in Puskhar; I cant believe that you slept under the stars, alone in the desert! I traveled in India 2 years ago and I really enjoyed it, but I think you have to be on guard all the time to avoid such bad experiences. You shouln't let the guides leave you in the middle of nowhere!happily nothing bad happend..
I plan to go to Goa this year, as I've travelled in Rajhastan but I didn't see the southern part of India.
take care and looking forward to hearing from u
Oh my! Aaah Tara, Paul, my dears! How good to see your faces in these photos! I had the same experience on a horse ride once, "Princess" was very bad tempered and not only that, had terrible gas the whole ride, which affected the man riding behind me more than me...still, the almost falling of a small cliff on a spooked horse part did scare me....Princess...you bad tempered thing I remember you! Anyway, had a lovely halloween in Kyoto yesterday dressed up like Calamity Jane, paper guns and all, and today off to a drummign party in a house shaped like a red boot! Aaah life is good when you travel! Pushkar looks amazing and the Taj Mahal...damn...maybe I will put India on my travel itinerary...but first I have to get up the guts to go it alone...I dont know if I can handle all those wee problems like 20 hour train rides and food poisoning dangers and so on by me little old self! Or maybe I can, Im a cowgirl after all no? Love and kisses, iva
You should be a travel writer I was laughing so hard at your misfortunes that my stomach hurt!! You really should be a travel writer. You are a lot funnier than a lot of the other stuff I've read!! I hate camels- did they spit on you? Can't wait for the next installment!!
Wow! You guys tell a good story and take GREAT photos. Fells like I am along for the ride with you.
When you get to Kerala, you can take lovely boat trips among the coastal islands.
Keep on having fun!
Pat
We're following your Blogs religiously. What can I say...really what can I say, except very much enjoying the reads/Blog experience - what a concept! No really! BTW Rhonda Stoik from Barrhead has been visiting the past few weeks - funny eh? Okay power to you folks!
Sand Troopers You both deserve "traveler of the year awards" for your desert adventure. All in all, you appear to be in great spirits about it all and are having a blast. We are with Deb and Susan now and are currently in the Cameron Highlands (Malaysia) so beautiful! We are also experiencing some moderate travel issues as it is Muslim New Year this week and they have 3 stat holidays! Ahhh, the joys of traveling. Love the website, hope you are able to see ours occasionally too. Be safe! Melissa
Wow! Just after discussing the turmoil in the disputed Kashmir region with my Social Studies students, I find out you two were there! I’m relieved you two are safe and sound; in the end, it’s probably better you seized the opportunity and went there besides, when else will you get the chance to do so? The pictures you put up are great and keep them coming! I can’t wait to hear all of your stories! Miss you both!!!
so very jelous Namaste! it is with a bit of longing that I read your journal. Miss travels in India so much.
Not sure where you're going next, but make sure to make it to the south for the food...and if you want some WWOOF recommendations, let me know! cgustaf@telus.net.
Big hugs.
aaaaw how I miss you! Hello fellow globetrotter and jewel of the nile! How often you cross the wandering paths of my thoughts! When I run into difficulty on my own travels (teaching english in Japan is no piece of cake, Ive never had to juggle such a schedule before, its exhausting me to the core!) and I miss home I think, what would Tara do? She would be laughing about everything right now in her slow and beautiful Tara way and letting it flow an not worrying! And somehow it would all work out ! Then I miss you and send you hugs across the global network of collective unconsciousness. Heres one now......!
Please give Paul a big squeeze for me, and send him love too.
Love
