You'll be pleased to know it doesn't seem to have stopped raining here since November-getting a bit much, at least we're not been flooded.Good to see your reports and bit envious. Enjoy your next leg and catch up in N.Z.

Pouring hi
good to hear from you. we're in Fiji and it didn't stop raining for 24 hrs and flooded the town. Sunshine today and on a lovely beach in the sun. Sorry !!
Steve
Well Done I enjoyed reading your adventures and feel quite exhausted. I don't know how you coped with the driving and writing everything in detail - wonderful! Chris did you help out at the wheel?
Australia Hello. Still enjoying the blog. We were on the same continent for a short while. I am now in Aus, arrived in Sydney on 23rd and currently in Melbourne. Glad it's all going well. D
Leaving on a jet plane ! Hi Dom
Pleased to hear you're still reading about us, not too bored yet !
We're at Adelaide airport waiting for our flight to Sydney and then onto Fiji.
Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did. The 4 months here have flown bye.
Steve
Hot, hot, hot there. Wet, wet, wet here! The lakes area near Quorn reminds us of Somerset. Devon was nice though and we had a good, fairly dry week........considering. Was that you, Chris in the parade? Have booked a week in Egham to save us flying ~20,000 miles to see Fort Augusta City. Don\'t forget to book your romantic Valentine\'s meal on the 14th. Hope you\'ve taken this into account, Steve.

Egham ? Hi
Have just finished our packing, well Christine has, as we leave for Fiji in the morning. Unfortunately the weather's not looking too good. It's the wet season but it's wetter than normal !
Don't understand your comment about Egham ?
Hope you enjoy the rest of winter ! Will probably not be able to get in touch until we reach NZ on 13th Feb but who knows ? they may have internet !
Steve
Not going yet Hi Great to hear from you. Tried on Skype a couple of times but you've not paid your bill to get reception. I'll keep trying !
We're in Oz for another 2 weeks with a car before going to Fiji for 2 weeks. That will be 6 months gone !
We're staying in Melbourne for a few whilst the tennis is on. Keep in touch and pay that bill !

Time Flies Hi both, can't believe you'll be giving the van back soon, must be quite sad to be closing the door on that part of your adventure, and also a relief not having to be so confined anymore! I guess that means you are almost half way through the whole journey now, seems like only yesterday you were leaving. We've been cranking up back to full steam and work again after a nice long festive break, and looking longingly at some holidays to escape the foul weather here, but on the bright side we're not afloat as so many poor souls have become in this part of the world! Have you been homesick for anything? Interesting to hear you enjoyed the chocolate at the place you visited, so many people say the Aus chocolate is ghastly on account of whatever they add to it to stop it melting, but I guess any chocolate is better than no chocolate! Look forward to hearing your stories from new parts of the planet. Enjoy! Love K & M.
Still here ! Hi The chocolate was ok but not as good as Cadburys but the first we'v had for ages.
We gave the van back yesterday (12th) and are still in Oz for 2 more weeks with a car. Then to Fiji for 2 and that will be the half way point ! Unbelievably quick. No time to be homesick too many places to go , too much to see. We heard about the weather, pleased you're ok. Great to hear from you. Will try and Skype you soon before we leave Oz as not sure we'll get internet in Fiji.

Blending in Hi I asked if they could give me a van not to be noticed in and they came up with this one ! Then I found out that half the traffic looks like this !
Gave it back yesterday. Tell Sharon we're at the Tennis tomorrow and keep an eye out for us !

Belated Happy New Year Glad you had a good New Year with your new-found buddies; just don't come bick with an ostroilian iccent tho,........ cobbers, cos it's bloody annoying. We had a lovely couple of days in the outback of Sleights, near Whitby, in 2 cottages with J&D and their friends and their parents. 8 in all. Went to Robin Hood's Bay, found a pub which would accept dogs (they nearly all will), had a pint, went home. Went to Grosmont, saw a steam train, waved it off in the steam, went home. Played games, drank beer and wine, went to bed. You've been to all those places with us (well, except bed!). Off to Devon in a week unless it's floated away. G'day both!
G'day ! I'm pleased you and your Sheila had a good NY too. Hope you've tracked our route on your little map, we've been all over the place. We're now on Phillip Island and have to hand our van back on Monday.
We then get a car for the last two weeks here.
The weather here's not been that good either, cold and very windy. Still better than very wet as UK
Steve
Aborigines Glad your still enjoying the trip, sounds like New Year was good fun. Have you seen anything of the Aborigines and their ancient sites? All well in UK apart from awful weather, wet and windy for weeks. Will be retiring end of Feb and then looking for a little part time job. Take care and keep writing, interesting to read of you adventures. Will Skype again soon.
Sorry to hear Xmas dinner wasn\'t quite as expected, sounds like it was quite entertaining though.
I read a book about Ned Kelly recently, so was interested to hear about the jail and to see the armour.
Wishing you both all the best for 2014. Looking forward to reading more of your adventures.
Ned Hi Kim
It's interesting to hear that you've been reading about NK. In Beechworth the guides treats him a bit as unfortunate person all caught up in things but most Aussies consider him a murdering criminal who got what he deserved. Beechworth is a lovely interesting place.
Please to hear you're still checking up on us !

Paynesville to Beechworth Happy early New Year from the UK but a late one for you in Aus.
Kids have all gone now. Sam to Sri Lanka for a month. Josie to Amsterdam for a week. Jake back to Brighton and we're playing Nobby No Mates here on New Years Eve. He ho back to work on the 2nd and we'll see what 2014 brings.
Take care.
New Year Hi
Happy New Year. We spent it with 10/15 Aussies at a BBQ at their house around the pool. Now being shown the landscapes and staying with them for a couple of days. Unbelievable hospitality !
We are Steve & Chris. In 2013/2014 we travelled around the world and had a wonderful time. The nomadic existence suited us more than we could have imagined. So once back in the UK we soon got bored (well I did) and over the winter months planned another trip. Only 3 months this time to revisit Malaysia, the bits we missed last time and to explore the outback of Australia.
Only crocodiles, snakes and spiders to avoid !
